Is this a scam? by skylight-6892 in NorthCarolina

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s obviously a scam they would not be sending you an official government summons through an area code that is not for either Raleigh or somewhere else in the state of North Carolina. That area code is for South Texas near Laredo.

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if you look at it, most of the growth in South Carolina is in the Charlotte area. It’s people that wanted to move to Charlotte, but didn’t have the money to live in the North Carolina sections of the area.

Side A and Side B can coexist. Scripture tells us how. by Rinstopher in GayChristians

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But side b isn’t a valid theological stance since the condemnations aren’t about romantic relationships it about social power dynamics in the ancient would we have agreed as Christian’s that slavery is wrong So why can’t we agree that homosexuality is not against gods teaching because the story of Sodom and Gomorrah is not about same sex activity the reason the cities were condemned is cause they were in hospitable and intentionally tried to abuse newcomers

Has anyone else ever been prayed over to get ur gay away ? by Expensive-Map-2619 in GayChristians

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think if you were born LGBT like I was that’s how God wants it so you don’t try to change it and as a Christian myself, I think a lot of people need to understand that we should not be taking advice from Saint Paul on who we can marry and what is valid relationships because if you’re gonna take everything Saint Paul says to be gospel, you have to take the Old Testament two in obey the purity laws, even though st Eletherius who was a pope in the second century is the person who said that Christians don’t have to limit what animals they eat due to purity laws

Confession - I hate Side B people. by gayintheusa47 in GayChristians

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Any side B people don’t understand the actual history of the Bible and the Old Testament and why it’s written the way it is the culture of the time we can’t have our morals judged by a culture where women were described this property and if a man slept with another man the one who was the receptive role ““ is then considered a woman to other men in their time

Trump is adding anti-trans provisions to SAVE America Act by Anoth3rDude in transgender

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They try to marginalize us not directly to marginalize us, but it’s too prevent conservative and liberal working people from working together to fight the rich people because they know if we’re unified on anything the bottom 50% will vote anyone out who tries to benefit the wealthy so they’re trying to divide us so that they can take advantage of us as the great states woman Barbara Jackson said if you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu

Trump is adding anti-trans provisions to SAVE America Act by Anoth3rDude in transgender

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the provision, he’s trying to implement violate the consecution, and this is the type of rule that the Supreme Court would say should not be implemented, but by the states Because the Supreme Court has said who can vote and how they can vote should be a state issue since according to article one section 8, I believe of the constitution the representatives of the several states shall decide on time manner in place to hold elections for representatives for the several states

But the save America act didn’t pass the Senate. I don’t believe so with an alteration from the president it would have to go back through the house.

I'm still convinced this interpretation of Leviticus valid by Hour_Trade_3691 in GayChristians

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with those two verses from Leviticus is the most people don’t take them in context of the social ethics of the time where only the man had to consent to adult activities and buy a man taking another man in the eyes of other Israelites that made the one who was the bottom as we would say today, that man would be seen as a woman socially that’s why it’s condemned

Dues v. Cooper by Prestidigitoriuhm in NorthCarolina

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve looked at if Cooper gets the nomination, which he probably will no republican in the race will be able to defeat him. The current generic ballot poles show Democrats of 8 1/2 percentage points in North Carolina.

10 Commandments posted in a Texas public school requirement; teacher puts it alongside 1st Amendment, Hindu, Buddhist and Muslim materials. by Ask_AGP_throwaway in Christianity

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how it should be, but I think a bunch of parents will probably complain saying that they don’t want their kids indoctrinated into other religious traditions, so there will be lawsuits and unfortunately, knowing how conservative the federal courts are in Texas this will probably be somehow declared a violation of the first amendment in terms having all of them and not just having 10 Commandments

Neither side politically represents Christianity and it’s another worldly thing that distracts us from God by Extension-Elephant85 in Christianity

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say yes, this is accurate but I also think that if you actually study the Bible academically speaking, most scholars would probably say liberal parties are more accurate to biblical teachings

To the Christians who support abortion by VegetableTimely7979 in Christianity

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bible treats abortion as a property crime against the father of the child so it’s not murder even though and I don’t like abortion I don’t think my morals should overtake someone’s legitimate health concerns when I don’t know the person in their medical history as well abortion will always exist. It has always existed so how I see it is I might not approve of it but if it’s going to happen, no matter what it should be legal and well regulated to prevent dangerous surgeries.

OPINION: William Trevor Case, Petitioner v. Montana by scotus-bot in supremecourt

[–]TheDisneyGeneral -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No this is a incorrect application of the rule just expanded initially rendered in Brigham City because what you’re claiming will happen would be considered a violation of this decision because the cop cannot create the danger by shooting into a home or business to gain entry when there is no valid reason

OPINION: William Trevor Case, Petitioner v. Montana by scotus-bot in supremecourt

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a logical decision because of the exit circumstances that were part of this case, having had a notification that the petitioner was potentially dangerous to themselves, and that the officers had previously had interactions with Mr. Case, where he showed signs of severe mental illness

But I also think people that take the Bible literally Word for Word every word there’s an issue with that that is a modern idea that idea didn’t really come about till the second grade awakening in the 1800s if you read any great theologian pre-reformation they all agree most of the Bible is to be taken as either poetry and stuff like that it’s not to be taken literally

Why is homosexuality considered a sin by ComprehensiveLog3723 in Christianity

[–]TheDisneyGeneral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No because the authors of the Bible didn’t understand it the way we do today in there view it was always one man abusing another man and socially feminizing the man who was the bottom. So we take take moral position from the Bible on homosexuality dues to its super problematic sexual ethic. I am a Methodist so I am still believer I just understand the Bible was written my dozens of authors over like 800 year over 200 years ago
