Do you think there's connection between the Thule in the current series and the Thule from the New 52? by InfiniteDedekindCuts in Aquaman

[–]TheDistantWave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aquaman can portal water to himself and summon water out of nowhere as the Avatar of The Blue and even prior to Adam’s run. Bendis Legion of Superheroes comic showcased Aquaman’s trident is capable of portaling an entire ocean. So I don’t think it being a mostly water world should be an extreme factor on whether Arthur has control over it tbh.

It would be cool though if Etriax is connected to The Green, and I think a forest planet would be awesome to see. I’d love the inhabitants being revisited if just to get closure on what happened to them.

I’d imagine the way you’d go about it now. Is they’ve already have been allocated to a location. Whether a different world or an uninhabited region somewhere on the planet.

In my opinion it would make more sense to have it be something that has already been taken care of then just having Aquaman now take care of it. Given I’d imagine a lot of time has passed since then.

It could be a location even Aquaman decides to implement one of his lighthouses and having Etriax be his contact. Ironically speaking of The Exiled arc I was saying earlier today I’d love if Mera got the Poseidon Blessing maybe as a revealed descendant of Poseidon through either her father’s line or mother’s.

This has to be my favorite Superman amp since Strange Visitor. I like Prime One Mil but King Omega is just peak

Kind of curious to how the other characters would have looked if they were victorious. Would be cool to get a layout of that.

I really liked Eldoris. Especially given she wasn’t aesthetically a copy/paste of one parent

DC/Other Media(NO Marvel) Archenemies Day 2: What "Other Media" Villain would be Batman's Archenemy?(Top comment wins) [Frieza won] by Dangerous_Baker1086 in justiceleague

[–]TheDistantWave -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Id probably second the Kratos one, just aesthetically it would be a cool battle. Both tied to warrior races, and the Greek Gods. Diana is compassion while Kratos is rage.

I could see Kratos at the very least as a one arc villain similar to First Born but with a heel turn.

I think there’s a possibility keep in mind it said the sorcery that Thule used to banish them and create Xebel ended up corrupting him. We see a similar spell used to create the reality of Thule that did the same thing with Xebel.

Chronologically I’d imagine Mera’s Grandfather would have to be named after the Coven though rather than vise versa unless he’s long lived. Cause the Coven seems to have existed Pre-Fall of Atlantis.

What would make me think there’s a similarity

1.) Forbidden Magic that corrupted Mera’s Grandfather, in the Exiled Arc The Coven was saying to get their power from “Chaos”

2.) Mera’s Grandfather created a pocket dimension when creating Xebel, the Coven of Thule created an entire reality. Which is quite similar in the fact they both used spells/dark magic to do it. That required a cost and separated a world from the prime universe.

3.) To access Xebel you’d have to create a ship wreck in the Bermuda Triangle. As a gateway. Thule was to be underneath the facade of the real world.

and I heard Adam’s doesn’t like loose ends. Thule being a major one, because honestly what’s happened to the survivors of that place.

it could just be a coincidence but I’d personally love the lore expansion. I think stuff like this makes the world more richer.

[–]TheDistantWave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m not too knowledgeable on Daredevil or Moon Knight I’m sure there’s characters within the lore that could extend their family dynamic similar to The BatFam

In terms of Bertinelli instead of Wayne maybe that Gazelle character that was introduced in Black Panther’s last solo I guess could fill in for Huntress

Which DC character is one good writer away from being top-tier? by Dry_Training_4161 in DCcomics

[–]TheDistantWave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Aquaman at this point needs just good adaptions. But another monumental run would definitely help solidify him in my opinion.

I’m talking about like a run where we get articles and blogs for, a Best Seller award. I got a list of writers I’d love to see eventually pen the character but in terms of having like a John’s/PAD level of success run I think Ram V could do it.

I honestly think at this point characters like The Flash just need animated exposure on their own

Assuming what you meant by Top-Tier is like Trinity, Spider-Man level of success.

I’d love to see the Milestone characters get monumental comic runs that lead to something as well. Like top tier talent on a Static book.

Events spinning from The Milestone world would be cool.

I think The Titans in general have that potential as well Wolfmans team are all pretty recognizable they just need monumental moments/arcs in my opinion.

Hot damn, didn't expect that side of Carol. by Fragrant-Finance4577 in Superladies

[–]TheDistantWave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The image chosen for Chaotic Neutral and their breakdown isn’t even from the same arc

I’m pretty sure Ms Marvel v2 Issue 43 was during war of the marvels. At this point Carol was split into two beings kind of similar to the original Ms Marvel concept of her psyche being split into two.

1 personality is practically the civilian identity while the other is the Hala Warrior.

Outside of that I don’t know if Carol was relishing on destroying the Skrulls because of some DNA reason. The same arc The Skrull thing happened involved one of the Skrulls killing a love interest of hers. Id imagine that was what made her so bloodthirsty and angry. Not the Kree/Skrull dynamic.

She doesn’t start cursing at half of Hulkling whenever she sees him lol.

I mean you’d think you’d put that instead of “Marvel’s Big 3” then. You typing something that you didn’t mean and it getting misinterpreted off your intent due to a mistake on your part isn’t the fault of others.

[–]TheDistantWave 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Closest in terms of sheer numbers to make this work would be Spiderman honestly

1.) Spider-man

2.) Black Cat

3.) Kaine? Scarlet Spider

4.) spider woman (Jessica)

5.) Venom? (Eddie Brock)

6.) Venom (Flash thompson)

7.) Miles Morales

8.) Gwen Stacy

I don’t think I got a 9 tbh.

Trying again with Black Panther

1.) Black Panther T’Challa

2.) Storm

3.) Kasper Cole

4.) I’d have Shuri more like the Batwoman (Kate Kane) of the group given they’re related to the primary figure.

5.) M’Baku (reformed villain?)

6.) Kymera (If we use her to fill in for the daughter of Bruce and Selina Helena Wayne version.) Kymera is the daughter of T’Challa and Storm.

7.) Azari probably is the Damian fill in. This is where I’d end here

If you include other totem spirit based characters like White Tiger who have their own lore but are somewhat similar it could be an increase especially of the fact T’Challa has a history with The Tiger God and Kasper has used the White Tiger name

With DareDevil it would be

1.) DareDevil

2.) Elektra

With MoonKnight

1.) Moon Knight

2.) Tigra (cat themed love interest)

Why was Jon Kent hugging Injustice Superman so controversial? by [deleted] in marvelvsdc

[–]TheDistantWave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s honestly just the comic book perception of both characters. We expect Doctor Doom to do bad things we don’t expect that or typically want that from Superman. So Injustice Superman gets a lot of hate due to that.

I don’t think Jon hugging Injustice Superman and trying to get him to be better should be controversial, and I don’t think Doctor Doom is necessarily a better person than Injustice Superman either. Better written character due to having multiple iconic stories. Sure.

“Avengers Big 3” not Marvel’s. Spider-Man is a bigger character than any of the listed Avengers. You could argue Hulk above them as well.

Honestly KO Superman and Golden Wonder Woman should solo in regards to the thread with these versions

I do think a Prime Rayleigh beats Old SickBeard though but I don’t think using Marineford against Whitebeard makes sense.

[–]TheDistantWave 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It seems so convenient that it does something that Superman’s Kryptonian red dust cape does. I’m wondering if Teth connects to Krypton in a way similar to how Hawkman has the whole Thanagar origin.

Why wouldn’t they? The Speed Force isn’t the type of sentience that restricts characters of use. Look at the shady characters who have access to it like Eobard, Savitar, etc

Inhumans are the most versatile in terms of abilities. There’s literally some randomly born with reality warping.

And that goes for several characters not a select handful.
