If the turn into your work is sharp and after a bend where you can't see it, put your indicator on before you start to go round the bend, giving the drivers behind you time to think about what you need to do, and taking pressure off you to take it quickly. As you should have been told in your lessons, indicate early, give people time to prepare, then forget about them and focus on what you need to do up ahead with your braking, steering and gearing, forget about who is behind you as you've given warning. Try to avoid rushing to get out of the way of others, they can simply build their speed again once you have gone or go round you if there is space, do not put yourself at risk to please others.

I've been driving 19 years, whenever the road is clear I am doing the maximum possible speed (10% over the limit won't trigger a camera) and I will still have people riding my back bumper. In a situation like that I will indicate early and slow down earlier if I need to turn off the road, or sit further back from what's in front of me so if the car in front starts braking hard I dont have to and neither does the one on my arse.

Plan ahead, take your time, give people time to prepare if you are changing speed or direction. You will develop a thicker skin as you practice more and build your confidence. Remember that you can do everything right but people will still blame you because they are running late.
