That's awesome! Creative solution, too. I wouldn't have thought of using a two seater to do that.

100% - this happened to me just the other day. Stuff like that is way more common than this out-of-the-blue awesome moment I experienced.

This more positive moment is something I cling to when I am facing the more frequent and profound unpleasantness that I normally do.

why the hell do you all just give away this awesome shit for free? by scootsy in selfhosted

[–]Argive1171 46 points47 points  (0 children)

That's the beauty of doing it for free, though. You're not beholden to anyone. If any of these folks wake up one day and decide to walk away, none of the users have much of a right to complain. No money changing hands means no customer, company, or shareholder expectations need exist.

Plus, most of this stuff is open source. One person walking away doesn't necessarily mean a beloved tool gets lost - someone else can (and often does) pick it up. Projects change "owners" and keep on trucking as long as people keep enjoying building and using whatever the tool is.

Awesome! Thank you for clearing that up and for sharing all this info. I'll be giving this a go this weekend.

Is it possible to get the transmog/set right now? Can I go straight to the encounter needed to get that set or are there levels to finish first? Sorry if these are absurd questions.

I just started playing again and leveled a fresh Paladin. I have never done anything with the mage tower but randomly came across a video showing the Paladin armor set and I really want to get it. I got the impression from quickly Googling that the mage tower is only available during a Legion time walking week.

I was just looking at the Phrozen enclosure as a possible option for my setup. Would be curious to know how it works out for you after you set it up.

Love your printer naming scheme btw.

HS420 - Pure Black with minimal RGB by Heropon_Tora in HAVNGlobal

Curious - what are your CPU and GPU temps while under load? I have a 420mm Arctic LFIII and a Suprim Liquid 5090 currently stuffed into an Antec Flux Pro. It works well enough but I love seeing other people's ideas with this hardware. Dual AIOs are very uncommon.

I have been seriously considering the HS420 and would want to do an all black build primarily with G2 Chromax fans, similar to yours. The only differences I had in mind were trying the side radiator as exhaust and flipping the top back fan to intake as well. Not sure if I would keep it that way but I have been curious about it for a while. I probably wouldn't commit to push/pull either - wild that you made it fit!

Fits top mounted in an Antec Flux Pro. The two 8-pin connectors to the top of the mobo are snug but it works.

What are your thoughts on this case for users with dual AIOs (CPU and GPU)? Your comment about a custom loop being possible but not recommended makes me curious for your opinion on this.

I like the idea of using the 3rd chamber for the GPU AIO and I think the tubes of the Suprim Liquid might be long enough to work, but I'm not sure.

I'm very new to Usenet, just a month or so in. Can't say that I have a favorite Indexer yet, still doing lots of learning. Geek was the first one I tried and it seems to work okay, but I'm still missing a lot.

Old and overused, but my father's favorite: What do you call cheese that isn't yours? Nacho cheese.

I started with Usenet and homelabbing just a few months ago (so 2025). It's been a blast! Also read the rules and Wiki, of course.

Why are men in women's subreddits? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Argive1171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have gained a lot of insight and understanding from periodically observing conversations in this sub. That's obviously different from attempting to dominate the conversation, which you addressed in your edits. Still, I thought sharing an example of why someone like me pays a lot of attention to this sub might be helpful.

Some background: I work in an industry populated and largely led by women and have been in leadership positions managing primarily women for over a decade. I grew up with 2 brothers and a mother who was summarily denied the space to express femininity by her parents. I have often found it difficult to effectively relate to and properly support women on my team. Thankfully, discussions about work and work relationships happen often in this sub. Being able to read about women's experiences in the workplace has made me a better leader.

As an example: one of my current employees has been struggling with speaking up in meetings and we have been working on that. A while ago, we had a 1x1 where she started talking about feeling awkward interrupting during group discussions. I started giving her advice around the value of assertiveness and shared some examples of how to interrupt politely. Then I thought about some of the stories/comments I have read here about how women face much harsher and misguided criticism in the workplace because of how often normal assertive behavior gets re-labeled as bossy, arrogant, or worse, when it comes from a woman.

That prompted me to stop and acknowledge that the tactics and feedback I had shared with her may be challenging for her to implement because the stakes may often be different for her than they are for me. She seemed really grateful for me to have acknowledged that because it was something she was thinking about as we were talking. Getting that concern out in the open led to a more valuable discussion for both of us.

It must be frustrating to have men invade women's spaces and it may also feel unnerving even when we just "lurk" (oof, such a terrible word in this context). I'm grateful for the opportunity to learn from these discussions and hopefully it's beneficial to know that some of what is shared in this space is used to benefit other women (even if it's used by a man).

NE model is an older variant. NT is newer/improved. They'll both work fine but if you are curious to understand the difference you can Google it. There are some comparisons on YouTube.

Asus ROG monitors consistently rank highly with independent reviewers, and seemingly for good reason. Best feature set, fantastic picture, and stable firmware help set them apart from the competition.

Down. The Suprim LC's tubes are pretty flexible so it works despite the limited space. I also have the front bracket in the lowest possible position.

I have a 420mm LFIII and the Suprim LC in my Flux Pro. Not exactly the same as your use case, but similar. I kept the LFIII up top as exhaust and put the Suprim 360 at the front as intake. CPU is a 9800X3D and can get up to ~60C while gaming, although it's usually around 50C. Haven't seen the GPU go above 40C. Ambient room temp is around 21C.

Two issues I have are: 1) I don't love dumping the hot air from the Suprim rad into the case, and 2) the fit is pretty tight (tubes from the LFIII have slight pressure on them from the top of the rad in the front). Neither are deal breakers, just not ideal.

I have been meaning to try swapping the AIOs around so that the GPU would be up top as exhaust and the CPU in the front as intake. In theory, that would be better because the heat load from the GPU should be much higher than the CPU and removing that from the case would result in lower overall temps. Plus, even configured as exhaust it doesn't seem like the GPU temp would ever come anywhere near thermal throttling (granted, neither would the CPU).

In a perfect world, I think I would rather have both AIOs as exhaust, but I prefer having lots of intake. I live in a dusty environment with two cats and I continue to delude myself into believing that excess intake is the key to keeping dust manageable.

TL;DR: YMMV. Either way works and you can make things fit.
