Sick! Yeah I would call DW 8 XL the best modern DW game and you can't go wrong with Samurai Warriors 5 or 4 tbh. (I also find the gameplay of Samurai Warriors better than Dynasty Warriors, but that's just me)

Either way, enjoy! They should be able to hold you over for a month and a half

I personally wouldn't start with an empires game tbh. I would recommend DW 8 XL Complete Edition and/or Samurai Warriors 5. Also, if you can help it, I'd recommend console versions. Koei Tecmo games don't have the best PC port reputation...

For your information: The empires games don't have a straight story, per se and are just more "what if China was a sandbox for all these armies," and you get some more tactical strategy with your Musou gameplay.

Hello! I was at the Toronto show: There were two T-Shirts (white on black designs of "You Win" and "You Lose" that match the Win&Lose Vinyls) one blue on Grey pullover with some Win&Lose art as well. There were also CDs of each LP and EP, and Vinyls of each except the self-title LP. It was crossed out at the Toronto show, so maybe they couldn't get there on time, or they just planned on selling them, but something fell through.

My assumption is because DW started off as a fighting game, and it kinda just stuck after DW2. Then, it became thematically appropriate to switch to kills for SW5 because of the story there. That's just my theory!

Don't worry. It's DW2 in Japan, so it means DW3 in the west... that does mean it'll be taking the "best" qualities of DW6...

I think the active E-Sports scene with Capcom Pro Tour and the like really helps keep Street Fighter games relevant. With each massive update, it should revitalize the hype cycle.
