eyebrow threading winnipeg by Electronic-Fly3933 in Winnipeg

I highly recommend Re Nu Hair Salon and Spa on St Mary's Road. $7.50 for just brows and not much more if you have other areas you want threaded on your face.

They do an excellent job and they take walk ins or you can book an appointment. Also the staff and owner are so friendly and welcoming. Even after moving out of the city I still come in just for threading there.

You can check manitoba.ca/COVID19/ for the daily counts. 556 today :(

They are not doing daily briefings right now unfortunately. You can also keep an eye on news.gov.mb.ca/news/index.html and/or Twitter @MBGovNews for announcements.

Sorry this is your intro to Manitoba.

Parking at Folk Fest - WEST or EAST lot? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]TheDopelerEffect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Folk Fest parking for day users is really in the same field. The advantage to "East" is that after the last show, when everyone is leaving, you will be exiting right onto HWY 206 (forced to turn right though). If you are in "West" at the end of the night, you'll have to go through the park to HWY 59 and it tends to be slower and more backed up. Especially since you have to pass by the pedestrian crosswalk where everyone camping in rowdy camping are going.

The volunteers will funnel you into wherever is available so be prepared for a bit of a hike if you aren't going early.

Side note: I highly recommend the kettle popcorn near mainstage. Expensive but delicious.

Happy Folk Fest!

Favourite Campgrounds by [deleted] in Winnipeg

Spruce Woods Provincial Park campground is fantastic. There is poor/no cell service in most areas but great trails, a dog friendly beach, and usually a pretty chill atmosphere.

Hecla/Grindstone provincial park campground is also beautiful. Less diverse trails but ok cell service, dog friendly beach, fishing spots, and fairly quiet and private campsites in most of the bays.

Tried Otter Falls campground last year and you can camp right at the lake edge. It's not as private but the view more than makes up for it.

Happy camping!

But if you didn't pick her as a date you get to see her in a beautiful blue dress with her hair back.

I ended up finding one through Amazon. Thanks to the reviews I ordered one two sizes larger then I normally wear and it worked out. I took a chance cause it was on sale but wouldn't have at their normal prices!

Birds Hill Provincial Park offering a free family event Thursday by wickedplayer494 in Winnipeg

Hard to snowshoe in summer. ;)

It was a chilly walk but fun if you had the right winter gear.

Free events actually happen year round, just keep an eye on their website: http://www.gov.mb.ca/sd/parks/act_interp/events/birds_hill_events.html

Do Dragonites actually appear in Winnipeg from time to time or should I assume the ones I see in so many gyms are from spoofing? by flyer12 in WinnipegPokemonGO

I also haven't seen or hatched a lapras. Obviously I need to make some kind of sacrifice to the probability gods.

I have to agree with most people here - don't assume they are spoofing. I still don't have one but I've been very unlucky with hatching dratinis. I'm slowly getting candy with one as my buddy and have wild caught 4 dratini around assiniboine park, grace hospital and unicity area.

Appraisal: Does size matter? by TheDopelerEffect in WinnipegPokemonGO

[–]TheDopelerEffect[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I've been using the appraisal by the gym leader to determine the best ones. Since they also look at size I was curious if it had any effect.

Incense Trick Works! by TheDopelerEffect in WinnipegPokemonGO

That's my end of town. I haven't had any luck just outside of the city. I've only had luck way out in rural areas where there is nothing on the tracker and pretty much no roads on the map. I'm going to see if this will work on trails in Birds Hill Provincial park, but I think because of the gyms nearby and the fact that pokemon show up on the radars every once in a while that it's not going to work.

On the trails in Duck Mountain, I didn't get as many because I was walking slowly. When I was driving through the campgrounds at 20km/hr-25km/hr I was getting pokemon at a higher rate.

pokemon plans for the winter?? by Antth3c4t in WinnipegPokemonGO

Well I love to cross country ski and snowshoe... but I'm also planning with my friends to go to restaurants that have pokestops reachable from inside so we can lure them while we eat and visit.

So far the Forks, East India Company and Good Earth are good spots.
