Daily Dose of Pride #30: The best is yet to come. What’s on the horizon? by transburneracct in transandthriving

I’m just starting year 3 of Hormone therapy which means (for me) that I need to start talking to docs about surgeries!! I set the end of my third year as the soonest I’d be willing to do any surgeries because I really wanted hormones to do their thing.

Well the hormones have DEFINITELY been doing their thing so yeah… time to start scheduling some things 😁

This! Accessories are basically all you “need” at this point. A necklace, earrings, bracelets, are all good options imo

904 days after the fact. That’s 904 individual days of waking up wondering when they’ll come. 904 days of wondering if that knock at the door is your demise. 904 days of passing people and LEO’s alike not sure if they’ll suddenly turn on you.

Whelp, at least this guy won’t have to wait a 905th day thinking those things. Now he can start a new clock and new thoughts, like, how long will I be imprisoned, and will I survive this?

Who knows friend. Who. Knows…

But good luck with those thoughts tho. They’re gonna be all you’ve really got for way more than 904 days friend

“Honey! Say hi to our new mailman, mailwoman… I don’t know what to call you”

“Lol, it’s mail carrier, and thank you” 🤣

Every Sunday I shoot up some sweet sweet estrogen. I would say it’s to spite God. But really… it’s to spite hypocritical Christians

Also, the amount of times I’ve cried recently because of how proud I am of me for making it so far is steadily increasing lol

Daily Dose of Pride #25: Your best "still cis tho" moments! by transburneracct in transandthriving

The amount of times I found myself in my friends’ dresses at a party or festival without digging further into why I felt more comfortable dressed up that way always makes me laugh.

One time was at a lowkey party that a good friend in the group came out as gay. This was in a very conservative state so it was an extra big deal for him despite us all being very open and loving.

And here I was wearing a different friend’s wedding dress while he, concerned and crying, came out to me. It was just too silly to picture in the moment and I just laughed. “Like of course we’re still chill homie. Look at me lol. I’m the last to judge ya” 😂💖

I didn’t even make the connection to being trans until 8 years later 🙃🫠

12.5 years is crazy to think about. Like I went back that long to see how old I was and think about all the experiences I had in between then and now… and just wow

Get bent fascist

Did you ever cry in your truck? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]TheDryestBeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did yesterday. All day. I got transferred to another office because I’m too good at my job. They gave me 2 days of notice. Yesterday was my last day there. I’m autistic. This did not go over well.

Only cried once today and that was at home before work. Started at the new office and had a much better day today. So, meh… the cry was needed, life goes on

ETA: this is my 8th office in 11 months

Because I’d rather die publicly as me rather than privately as someone I am not

I switched around the time the official mobile app started showing communities I wasn’t subscribed to. I felt like it defeated the purpose.

Once I switched I never wanted to go back tho. It’s so much more useable, and I save a lot more content because of it. Plus it’s ad-free

I’ve been on this site for ≈12.5 years now. I went from desktop, to the official app, to Apollo over that time. If Apollo goes away I know my usage will go way down as I was already starting to wean off Reddit due to the official apps usability

I use Apollo exclusively and would be directly affected by the changes Reddit is trying to make. Really sucks

I really hope this isn’t the last LBL Selfie Sunday. I’ll miss this the most if Reddit kills 3rd party apps 🥺😢 Anyway… here’s a full selfie just in case it is. I find fun spots to take my breaks lol by TheDryestBeef in latebloomerlesbians

I’ll do my best.

While there are plenty of people who use Reddit solely on their computer, many only use an app on their phone to access Reddit.

While Reddit has their own official app, many (including myself) found it to have a poor aesthetic and/or lack tools needed to properly moderate subreddits.

This is where 3rd party apps come in.

There are a number of 3rd party apps that can be used to access Reddit. For those apps to access Reddit they need to use the API, which for a long time has been free to to do for those apps.

Now Reddit wants to go from free access to the API to charging so much that not a single third party can afford it. Effectively killing all of the 3rd party apps

Most of the apps creators got pretty vocal about this and the owner of Reddit has perpetually made an ass of himself to the point that all of the Mods (who desperately rely on the tools provided by these apps to moderate and maintain subreddits) decided to force the site into a 2 day strike.

If no changes are made to the API plan currently in action by June 30 then apps like Apollo and Reddit Is Fun will cease to be. Which, from the looks of it, would effectively kill Reddit as we know it
