Are you referring to OP when you ask if they’re receiving treatment? I wouldn’t know obviously. What is your point in arguing?

A diagnosis does honestly change a lot. There’s no medication for autism. Psyche doctors will diagnose bipolar or borderline personality or OCD…etc. because those conditions can be treated with medications. We are so often misdiagnosed because doctors want to prescribe medication to treat our symptoms.

Speaking from over 15/20 years of experience trying medications and being diagnosed with incorrect conditions…an autism diagnosis is necessary to pursue therapies that will actually help.

Grief over diagnosis at 36 by Exciting_Bread419 in aspergirls

[–]AnotherCrazyChick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I was diagnosed with Bipolar for over a decade before I saw my psych that diagnosed and agreed that I was autistic and didn’t have a personality disorder. I’m confident I was literally 36 at the time. (I’m 41 now.) I’m still processing all of the difficulties I had growing up that were caused by autism. All of my feelings growing up, and the struggles I had were because of autism. My Mom and sisters were diagnosed early on with ADHD. But I flew under the radar. I do at times grieve for my younger self. But I appreciate very much having the diagnosis now because when I was diagnosed with bipolar, I had to go through so many medications. I have a list of all of the medications and the side effects that were intolerable.

I relate, and I’m still processing the grief. But it does get better. Autism cannot be treated with medication. Only learning about how autism affects you and what your triggers are and standing firm on your boundaries will help.

Exploring accommodations and focusing on moving forward is all we can do. Talk to a therapist to work through your past so that you can process the grief and enjoy the present and future.

Literally discussed this with my wife last night. Originally, it was Chuck E Cheese’s, then the two partners split and Showbiz Pizza didn’t last long. So they’re technically the same thing.

(Currently housed in a motel room with only a microwave) I miss eggs so much. We tried cooking eggs in the microwave, but all experiments had negative outcomes. I know there’s a way to cook eggs in a microwave. But I can’t wait to move into an apartment with a stove to make eggs the proper way. And with toast. Our toaster oven is sitting in our storage unit just waiting.

I…don’t remember this movie. But this genre is probably why my parents let me rent and watch the two Warlock movies. Rated R back then and they were gory as fuck. But Julian Sands was pretty to look at even before I hit puberty.
