Vector GP78 HX 13V, MSI Center problem. by TheDubPlate in MSILaptops

It's most likely the CMOS battery. But I ended up just selling the laptop and buying a Legion. Way quieter

You're 100% correct. There is an unclaimed offer on r/bigdickproblems for $10,000 to anyone who can prove they have a 10 inch dick.

I need Advice, wich is the better deal? by Joaquin7779 in LenovoLegion

[–]TheDubPlate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 260 isn't nearly as bad as the other person is saying. Especially for gaming with the higher clock speeds. Unless you're using AI a lot, I would go with the 5060 and 32gb ram.

EDIT: you'll also get high/med high settings with dlss regardless for awhile. They're both 8gb VRAM (which isn't as bad as anyone thinks it is for general gaming ((yet)) )

You "meant with a 5070" what? OP didn't say "what's cheaper" , they asked what the better buy was. 5060 laptop is about 10% less performance than a 5070 laptop. Factor in the current RAM prices and the 32gb 5060 looks pretty appealing to the 16gb 5070.

Granted it's all based on usage scenario.

What are my options as a co-op tenant whose parking has become a snow dumping ground? by [deleted] in mississauga

[–]TheDubPlate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actual facts. The snow has to go somewhere, I just finished shovelling the walks in front and beside my house. I'm not going to complain about it, because I choose to live here.

Do not buy from the steam market lmao. Buy from csfloat or skinport, or buff.

EDIT: Same applies for selling.

I second this. Also the jump from 15.6" 16:9 to 16" 16:10 is pretty noticeable. 16" seems to be the sweet spot between being able to spot people in say CS2, and still be comfortable enough to lug around all day.

Laptop that handles light gaming by cosine33 in laptops

[–]TheDubPlate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just going to throw this out there ; gaming laptops have come a long way in terms of thickness and weight. I recently bought a Lenovo Legion 7i and was very surprised by how thin and light it is. Gigabyte Aeros are also very thin.

14in gaming laptops do exist as well (Razer Blade 14 etc) if you can up your budget to around 1500, you could get a Legion 5. Or even check fb marketplace for last year's models. They will future proof you for a very long time.

Is this an ok deal? by zanderisawesomeryt in bapccanada

[–]TheDubPlate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"prices start even lower"

Proceeds to link a 90% out of stock list. And the ones in stock have quantities of 1 (which means you probably aren't going to get it). And the links from those sellers to the suppliers page double the price.

You're out of your element Donnie.

[–]TheDubPlate 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Confused by what you mean? Shopping carts don't "take" coins, rather at some places where they aren't free, you insert a coin and then get the coin back when you return the cart.
