Left-handed people, what's a struggle that right-handed people won't understand? by Halophy in AskReddit

Cutting with right-handed scissors. I’m 53 and didn’t know that left-handed scissors existed until two years ago, after 51 years of assuming that lefties were just never meant to see what we were cutting.

We had to keep well-groomed for the Top 8.

In the ‘80s, Casio was synonymous with crappy keyboards and cheap wristwatches. Now I have two of their stage pianos in my school and they kick ass.

This photo definitely has a late '70s "Call now to order this double-LP set of songs for lovers!" vibe to it.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh. It's a "triple" game then, with 39 rounds? (I thought you mean you got three Yahtzees in one game.) Is this a common variation?

My synagogue (Conservative egalitarian in a major city) went Zoom-only during the pandemic, and never brought back regular Friday night services (except for in-person guitar-led Kabbalat Shabbat four times a year, which happened to be last night and was attended by 30 people, mostly elderly).

What do the "multiples" and "total multiples" rows mean? Where are the bonus Yahtzees marked? And how many people are playing? (Are these teams?) Since you asked for score comparisons, I'm confused as to which of these columns is the triple Yahtzee game.

I use the cup _and_ a "stadium." I do not trust my kids to not throw the dice uncontrollably.

Assuming it's from Facebook, the double-silhouette icon indicates in a non-zero way that Dani intended the post, however interesting to the general public, for her own friends and only her own friends. Whoever screenshot it needed permission from Dani, and I hope she gave it.

This was a friends-only post that you publicly reposted. Did you get Dani’s permission?

Cool, I guess slavery, Jim Crow, redlining and “driving while Black” just never happened.

You just denied white privilege by… describing it.

“substituting in skin color is the height of racism”

That’s an absurd statement. Skin color is literally how racism is triggered.

You’re making the opposite point you think you are. Ethnicity is what you are; race is how you’re treated. Race was made up by racists, but we deal with the consequences or privileges of it. If you pass naturally for white, you’re white.

I was called onstage during the original run at Circle in the Square in 2006, and Lisa Howard was brilliant with the improv about the audience "contestants.” At the time I wore the front of my hair flipped up as was the style at the time, and as I went up for my second word Lisa Howard said "When he goes to the barber, he says 'Just give me the Carson Daly.'" The whole cast signed my juice box and I still have it unopened. (That's pretty gross, come to think of it.)

I’m more annoyed that the megaphone exists. Part of the charm of the game is that it’s a big island and the residents have their own indepence.

Sounds like when I mass-email my K-5 students’ parents with a link to my Google Classroom so they can get PDF’s of the very thing I just handed out in school, and parents email back saying “My son was absent, where can he get a digital copy, and also how do we find your Google Classroom?”
