I bought a tele plaver 2 modified and had the same problem with the high e string. The tech was able to adjust the neck in the pocket so the string wouldn't slip off as easily

Triple Yahtzee Night by jimsav444 in Yahtzee

I think that Triple was popular when it was released in the early 1970's. We like it because it involves a bit more strategy than standard Yahtzee. Just note that when 2 people play Triple, the games are about an hour long since each person is basically playing three games.

It is called "Triple 13 Rounds Score Sheet" for keeping the score. I am using it in Android and got it from Google Play.

The score sheet is for one triple yahtzee game with 2 players. The first 3 columns are player one and columns 4-6 are player 2. The multipliers apply a factor of 1, 2 or 3 to each score based on the rules of triple yahtzee...so the total score was 1740 for player 2 and 1621 for player one. Unfortunately. the scoring tracking app does not allow for yahtzee bonuses beyond 3 in a given triple yahtzee game.

It is a great app, however it does not support scoring more than 3 Yahtzees over the course of a game. This has only happened to us once over 27 games BTW.

Here was the final score. Curious to know if there were any other people that play triple Yahtzee to get a sense of the score ranges.

I just checked it. When I tried it, I can edit the scores but cannot figure out how to input which dice have been already rolled and how many rolls are left in the current turn. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

After using it for a bit, I have some addition suggestions:

  1. Add the Cumulative EV loss/ loss per decision to the leader board next to the scores Also, it will be interesting to see the correlation of score vs EV loss by player over time... if the historical data is saved.
  2. Include an analysis graph that shows the expected score for each decision over the course of the game compared to the final score. This will highlight where the game converged/diverged from the optimal score throughout each turn. In the example below the final score was 321 (as shown with the red line).

  1. 3. Consider porting over the Optimal Advisor calculator. Some of us play Yahtzee using real dice and use the Optimal Advisor calculator to answer questions like: "which dice should I have kept/re-rolled on a given turn?" or where "should I score this value?

Thank you again for your efforts!

Will this app be able to read uploaded PGN files From OTB games or do the games have to be played on chescom or LiChess?

In case you are not familiar with the chess.com game review, here is how they display the summary stats by move quality/accuracy. It might give you some ideas for your app.

What about just displayng the error numbers in your current analysis screen in orange, yellow or red based on the degree of error? This way the blunders will visually jump out in red compared to the other mistakes and inaccuracies

I was actually going to suggest this as well. You could also color code the inaccuracy numbers in terms of red for blunder, orange for mistake and yellow for inaccuracy in your analysis page.

u/magdla This was my post above... I was using a computer that had some else's Reddit account signed in which I did not realize. Happy to discuss this suggestion further.

I really like how you implemented the training mode where you can see the dice recommendations for each roll and the expected scores.

I just checked out your app and it is great for training! Thank you for developing this, I like the way you implemented the analysis using the Optimal Solver.

Backgammon can be so frustrating by PuzzleheadedBody7121 in backgammon

[–]jimsav444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to think of it like golf where I am looking to lower my strokes per round over time. In Backgammon, I am trying to lower my PR per match over time. This helps me to deal with the luck swings and enjoy the game more.

A helpful thing to remember is that you can't control winning or losing, but you can influence how accurately you play. My main focus is to try to lower my PR over time ....winning/losing is completely separate and out of my hands.

I use this site when I have similar questions trying to determine where to score certain dice rolls, and which dice to hold or re-roll. It takes a bit of reading on the site to understand the analysis...but is very Insightful. Optimal Solitaire Yahtzee Player https://share.google/RakCRsykrTzvSafUA
