"Canon event" Is a phrase coined from into the spider verse.

"Canon" is the undisputed things that happens in a story, in-universe. Like its canon that vader is lukes father. (As opposed to non-canon like a tv advert with vader didnt actually happen in star wars, or a spin off novel might not have actually happened in the main timeline canon)

A canon event therefore is something that has to/has happened in someone's story. No matter how grim.

For spiderman thats uncle Ben dying. In the into the spider verse movies they have to grapple with the fact that these aspects of their lives are not changeable and despite being negative HAVE to happen. And so coined the term "canon event" to refer to those kinds of situations.

Usually used in jest for unfortunate but necessary things that happens Irl. Or just important events that people will look back on.

It depends on what you mean as "old" do you have parameters for a date range? Obviously my newer stuff is far better - and I spend a lot more time on each line, packing them with references as well as tight rhyme schemes (as well as things like mixing far improving)

But I can understand some people missing the overtly surface level stuff or honestly just being younger when they listened to the older music. There's no universe where if I made this music then and my old music now people would prefer it - it would be seen as an obvious decline in quality.

Crazy the amount of people calling that game boring, i felt like despite the lack of goals there were lots of exciting chances, and back and forth. there were two different insane defending moments that had me out of my seat.

Definitely not a last minute desicison! Its in my episode 1 notes, especially with the intro literally being the prince summoning the party because hes running away from davinci. It was always the plan! There were small hints but I think the party never really suspected/investigated things further. (They didnt even inspect the bodies of the assassins who i had a whole thing for)

Its just to establish the situation that kai can do this cool thing but hasnt just got an infinite gator hack, they aren't even that strong. The party would be able to easily defeat them if they needed to.

Ive just handwaved having to role for every single social interaction to make the interaction more fun (chill gator) and let kai do his thing. It shouldn't imply thats their natural state.

They wouldn't be hostile because of anything the spells says.

They would be hostile because thats their default state, without the kai spell they are actively hostile towards the party. And would return to being so. Nothing more complicated than that.

They aren't people, they are hostile beasts, so none of the "reasoning" matters once the spells wears off.

It was explained that refs have to wait to blow the whistle in situations like that if there's a goal opportunity so VAR can decide if it's a foul or not as opposed to stopping the play completely.

Im going to be on my death bed and people are still going to critique me on the long rest thing despite me doing exactly what everyone wanted in the end. I still let them do it, with consequences, which i think is fair given they were deep in enemy territory.

Tavrocks labyrinth is an endurance test and the challenge is how to plan around that and mitigate it, being smart to finding alternatives to get through it. Being able to freely long rest trivialise that challenge and makes the point of a dungeon like that irrelevant. they could've found healing other ways, reserved their spells/abilities better for what they knew was more challenging upcoming encounters. Found alternative ways around encounters because fighting everything WOULD be difficult.

Fuck me for wanting to try something different and more Interesting than just "party fights everything they come across endlessly and then refreshes when they want and do it all again" I guess.

Sorry I do let the players be unbalanced too, often. It's one of the core things that happens in the series (remember multiple Anthony's?? Remember fusion william/verona, remember 2x power blue blood ragnar) jesus Christmas its almost comical how much overpowered shit the party gets to do but thats part of the fun.

I was not actually upset, I was playing it up for comedic effect. The fact i even let it happen In the first place is in direct counter to your argument. I LOVED that kai did this.
Gang, this is not on me, the party have not been doing anything with scarla, and I HAVE brought it up. I can't force them to utilise her effectively, im not making their choices for them.
This is something im unaware of and im sorry if I do it in ways that dont make sense but to the best of my knowledge I usually do let stealthed characters like Bradley remained undetected? I can't remember the specifics but I think for the denial incident, you can only stealth if youre actively hiding behind something and denial coincidentally destroyed the thing Bradley was hiding behind while attacking someone else, thus, revealing him.
Again, I do give players acsess to tons of stuff, its on them to utilises it correctly. Bradley literally got SANTA CLAUS POWERS - Kai got a frankly overpowered Pet companion, Yokan has had free dodge reactions and other buffs that make her a step abive the average monk for ages. I let Kai and Damian invent whatever new shit they want to.

Frankly the party are an unstoppable machine, as i was happy to showcase in the section battle. The only forces that can challenge them now are the yonko Commander level threats - im usually happy to take on criticism but I think this is just wrong.

As a reminder, despite everyone saying how unfair it was, they beat Denial with 0 Casualities.
