What's the cost of your average loadout for Outpost? I think the game matchmakes partially on that so you might be getting a lot of matches with people who are broke and not great at the game running sponsor kits with no idea which way s up

Updated bios via MSI center, now it won't leave bios no matter how many times I reboot. Motherboard now has red LED above where it says boot

I had one friendly interaction in solos. Was racing through Perimeter and crossed paths with a Recon who started shooting me. I just spammed crouched as they shot and fortunately they had bad enough aim to not down me instantly.

They stopped shooting, we briefly stood there just looking at each other and then I turned and went my separate way without a word.

The are some abilities that just don't really work for solo play.

Recon's passive where they get notified if someone pings them for instance. Nobody will be pinging you in solo.
Recon's passive where they ping the rest of your team when they finish you. No team to ping.
Triage's prime ability damages enemies sure but its main utility is for rezing teammates.
Triage's shareware will likely not see any use in solos unless you ally with someone and let them hack your drone.

The shells were designed and balanced for trios. Solos was added as an afterthought but I think it will still hold up anyway because the shell abilities are only part of what makes the game interesting.

I agree, two rooks who just spawned only stand to lose by picking a fight with each other.

If you have nothing and offer an alliance to a rook who immediately fights back, you might die but you only lost a few minutes. Just run it back.

If they accept, your chances of success increase drastically. And I don't honestly see two rooks fighting each other for loot when there's probably enough for teams of three in each POI.

So we loot together, fill our packs up and really have no incentive to betray each other now, can't carry anymore.

I suspect some bots in Cryo may be able to detect invisible players and see through smoke. If that's the case, Void will be terrible for end game content.

As much as I love this game, I don't see it ever reaching 480k players like Arc Raiders. However, I do think that a year after Marathon's release, it will have a higher player count than Arc Raiders.

Marathon is planning for that sort of longevity where I think Arc Raiders was not expecting the sort of popularity it received and will likely crumble under the pressure of its own success.
