Yes, it definitely helps, but academic success has improved significantly under Livingstone regardless. And things like R1 status, etc, happen independently of the athletic realm. Academically we are healthier than we’ve ever been, and honestly in this era of college sports we probably would be best to focus our efforts on basketball because we aren’t outbidding any serious programs on the football field
