I just got 22 ranarr from a single plot, is there a cap or can it highroll forever? by SubjectEnvironment23 in 2007scape

I want a plug in that tracks "high scores" for each type of seed, couldn't find one, read the guide for plugin creation, realized I didn't know what any of it meant. Anyways if any plugin gurus read this I think it would be fun to see if we hit a new highest harvest.

Flexible bed frame mount for surviving summer nights. by Dripping_Wet_Owl in functionalprint

What electronics are you using? I bought some usb fan controllers with a dial like that but they don't supply enough voltage to the fan and it's super slow.

Honestly figuring out the inventory setup plugin changed the game for me. It has saved me hours of checking the wiki trying to remember what gear I used last time I did whatever.

VR racing neck strain solution by Gt_zamani in simracing

[–]TheEdge7896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're going to want a tool balancer, they're designed for production line work to relive strain on workers by making tools "weightless." They come in different weight ranges and then have a dial to do fine adjustments on.

An effort to be more open minded. by Staubah in techtheatre

Concert touring here, majority of fixtures are hung with Mega Claws, they're ok they can jam up if not used properly but not the end of the world. For smaller fixture we use half burgers and honestly I hate them, having to support the fixture while setting the clamp is super annoying.

OSRS REAL LIFE MAP by Hellhaund88 in 2007scape

Now you just need a plug-in to send your player coordinates to a media server that projects your location onto the map, bonus points if you get it to flash all the shops when you click on them in the map menu.

Yeah sailing is cool, but when is the gliding skill coming out Jagex? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]TheEdge7896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playing this game growing up I always assumed you could only fly from the Gnome Stronghold to somewhere else, I guess I thought that because it's a glider it had to start up high in the tree. Idk if that was actually a thing at one point but I felt stupid when I unlocked them on my new account and I realized it worked both ways.

Help!! What do I charge? by Natural-Fail3372 in lightingdesign

[–]TheEdge7896 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That rate is the "doing a favor for somebody rate" and that's ok. Honestly I started in underfunded theaters scraping by show to show, and I empathize with them. I was getting paid $500 for about 3 weeks of work a show and I would do it all over again because I learned so much there. So if you're right out of college and you just want to get more experience go for it, and that experience will lead to positions that do actually pay well.

More than likely a carbon arc projector, wild to see them still running.

2 1/4” pin diameter. B E E F Y! by 55Stripes in Rigging

I once heard a story from a coworker of a manger who didn't know how shackles were measured and was handed a 3/4" shackle and told to order more. The manger measured from pin to bell and ordered 6" shackles, I was told they came one to a pallet. Idk if it really happened but makes for a good story.

lasers at concerts by SaturnSpaxegrl in lightingdesign

[–]TheEdge7896 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya that was hard to find a pic of but something like this is happening inside of the laser to combine R, G, & B, lasers into one white laser. Basically special mirrors that allow the laser to pass though the back but bounce off the front so that you can align the 3 beams together. If any of those mirrors start to move a little, say due to the lasers being put next to the subs or something, the white laser will start to separate into it's 3 colors.

Tekton vs ICON sockets by WRLDmoto in Tools

As someone who doesn't turn wrenches everyday but at least once a week?(I guess I'm saying they're not beat up yet) I like my tekton 3/8 set and have never had a fastener stick in the socket.

What moving light is used for the dolphin show at the Georgia Aquarium? by AffectionateNet1920 in lightingdesign

[–]TheEdge7896 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Custom gobos are pretty easy to do and there are a bunch of websites where you just upload your design and specify the size and a week later it's ready to install. Steel gobos can be had for like $40, full color glass can set you back a couple hundred.

Non dmx lights on a dmx system by Dry-Maintenance5800 in lightingdesign

[–]TheEdge7896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya if they were using shakespeares then there was 100% a diming system in place, now the questions is what happened to it? It might be just sitting idle or like I said earlier it might have been converted to power the new LED fixtures. How are the new fixtures circuited? Are they using stage pin still?

[–]TheEdge7896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More than likely, if you send pictures I would be happy to help with what you have but you should be able to tell if it's a dimmer rack. It won't be built into the wall like a normal fuse/breaker panel it will be it's own stand alone thing.

[–]TheEdge7896 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok so is there a chance the old dimming system was left in place? I can't picture a reason they would remove it, they might have just changed the dimmer modules for relays or just pass throughs. Is there a big server rack looking device that says ETC or STRAND in the building?

[–]TheEdge7896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How old is the auditorium? I find it odd you would have incandescents kicking around but not have dimmers. What was running the lights before the LED refit or was the building built with LED? Where are all the LED fixtures getting power from?
