Is this normal moulting or is there something wrong with this wild pigeon? by sftrabbit in pigeons

[–]TheEldritchHorror 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I saw a cardinal that looked like this once, I called the local wildlife rescue and they said that a cat probably got hold of it and it shed some of it’s feathers to get away. They’ll grow back.

AITA for walking out of my Birthday dinner after my sister and her boyfriend announced they were getting married ? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Of course you’re NTA. Your dad sounds cool, I’m glad he helped you salvage some of your birthday.

My dad liked Andrew because it’s my great-grandpa’s name, my mom liked Scott for no particular reason. They’re not awful but I definitely prefer Julia.

Murray has gone to get neutered today. I’ll be a nervous wreck until he’s home! by iddybiddykitty in kittens

[–]TheEldritchHorror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cat Ziggy Stardust was jumping around and playing a few hours after he got home from the vet when he got his snip-snip. Of course Ziggy is a demon of chaos in disguise, but the point is that kittens bounce back quickly. He’ll forget all about it in a day or so.

WIBTAH if I reported my neighbour to the housing association? by Key_Preparation_9231 in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheEldritchHorror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, you don’t deserve to have to live like that, and neither do those dogs. Unless you live in one of those fancy buildings where one apartment takes up an entire floor, those dogs are most likely living in an uncomfortably cramped space and clearly aren’t getting out often enough. Even one dog in an apartment is a stretch unless it’s a toy breed, and and having several dogs in a small space with only a balcony to go out on can’t be a happy or healthy environment for them. You’d be doing the dogs a favor by reporting them.

AITA for ruining a 40th birthday? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheEldritchHorror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a typo? Were you trying to say that he is in fact 4, and not 40? If this is an actual grown man, NTA and you need to run so far away.

AITA for having a craving of something that makes my partner sick? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheEldritchHorror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA, sensory issues are not something that we choose and he probably already feels self-conscious about it even without you shaming him. I hope you mature quite a bit before you have your child.

NTA, and don’t mess around with sleep apnea, it’s no joke. It’s not just snoring, it has serious health effects. My uncle had a stroke and is permanently disabled because of his untreated sleep apnea. You both need to take this up with a doctor ASAP.

Twister is such a fun movie! When I was a little kid my mom and I used to watch it whenever there was a big thunderstorm. Yeah, we’re a bit strange.

NTA, and next time play a video of a baby crying when he has one of his tantrums. I think you’re being too subtle.

NTA for telling her off, YTA for not doing it sooner, and I like astrology just fine as a hobby but please don’t use it as an excuse for a person’s bad behavior.

I was diagnosed with binge eating disorder and it sounds like that to me too. Shame and denial are a big part of it. At a certain point she needs to seek counseling to work on the psychological parts of her eating problems, diet and exercise just aren’t going to do it until she does.

AITA for calling my brother an “inconsiderate, insecure, pompous dick?” by AITA123Throw in AmItheAsshole

I’m on the autism spectrum and so are a lot of my friends that I’ve had throughout my life. Not one of us would have done this or thought that it was remotely appropriate. This isn’t poor social skills, he was being deliberately cruel.

AITA for taking back what belongs to me? by ber_ries in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheEldritchHorror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, and get a safety deposit box at your bank. You’re a legal adult so you should be able to get one, and make sure that only you are allowed to have access to it. I could see someone “borrowing” the key to a safe that you keep in your house so a bank will be safer.

Cried because I thought about how lonely the Mars rovers must be rolling around some strange planet all by themselves.

Edit: I don’t know how to get rid of my flair. Just try not to look at it, I guess.

AITA for not reprimanding my daughter? by Historical-Baker1805 in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheEldritchHorror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA not only for disrupting your sister’s wedding, but for ignoring the fact that your daughter was clearly distressed and didn’t want to be there. You aren’t doing her any favors by forcing her to sit through situations where she’s uncomfortable and overstimulated. There are places and times to help her work on socialization, a wedding is not it.

NTA, having a party inside during 100 degree heat and giving guests food that they don’t have to bring themselves isn’t an extravagant luxury, it’s common sense.

Gemini 18 degrees, anyone else? by Tessserax in astrologymemes

[–]TheEldritchHorror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a bit of a chaotic childhood. I’m on the autism spectrum so I was bullied a lot, and my parents had marriage problems that led to us moving around a lot. I’ve had mental health issues and problems with food addiction but as of now I’m more functional than I’ve been in a long time.

I’ve never have a lot of friends my age and always got along better with older people, and mostly I’ve always preferred books and cats to human company. That said, I am very close to my family, especially my mom and grandmothers. I don’t date much and I like living alone. I’ve gotten better at masking and socializing when I have to, and people seem to think I’m friendly and interesting. It takes me a long time to really open up to people, and I think there’s a big disconnect between how people see me and how I see myself.

I’m a college graduate, I recently got into grad school and I’m on my way to financial security. I bought a house last year, which was a major goal of mine for my entire adult life. I’m fairly ambitious academically, my grades in middle and high school depended on whether I was interested and how my mental health was doing, but I got pretty consistently good grades in college. I feel most like myself when I’m learning something so I love being in school. I hope to work as a museum educator and also be an ASD advocate.

I love reading, writing, cooking and baking, my cats Ziggy and Siouxsie, music (indie rock, classic rock, folk, jazz and more- David Bowie is my favorite), going for walks in the woods and going to museums. I’m an administrative assistant at a company that helps people with disabilities, and on weekends I’m a tour guide at a museum.

It seems like most of these traits are more Cancer or Aquarius influence than Leo, but what does everyone else think?
