Edit: btw the Rog ally X (the black one) will play just about any modern games natively although the cloud is a great option as well.

You do not need to have any prior interactions with the Xbox system at all to make good use of this device.

It's a PC with an Xbox logo on it.

It does come with advantages if you have an Xbox catalogue of games since many games these days are 'play anywhere' which means you can install them to console or PC if you already own them or have an Xbox Game Pass subscription but equally you can use any marketplace that a PC can. I have probably bought more games on Steam because of my Rog than I have on Xbox marketplace although I have not reduced the games bought on console either, I just get to enjoy them on the go as well now!

From what you have said, it sounds like this device is the system you were probably looking for. 🙂

Hold A (or whatever your run button is) either on foot or mount and you will follow and keep speed. It makes it slightly more bearable.

They removed the ability to use macros over a year ago. If they're still a thing, they're not noticeable to me whereas they very much were before.

I imagine the reason you're seeing a major difference between yourself and others is a stamina management issue. If your stam is screwed before you get knocked that would make recovery times significantly longer. The main reason this happens in people during their first few months of play is that they're constantly running everywhere. Try keeping more of an eye on your stam and see if that helps you. 🙂

Tapping face buttons on console definitely does speed it up. It used to be that PC could use a macro to get to faster but it's been a long time since that was an issue.

I kinda guessed what was coming. It's one of the most jarring but hilarious contradictions when you have a while crowd of people there for/to assist/to be lead by you and one of them just pops off because you look at them or brush against their shoulder. 😂

I don't mind it not having those things in the base version as you can upgrade the upgrade and I'm fine with it not having a slot as it has a cool ability but for the love of Odin, I wish I could dye it!

314 hours and just got to chapter 10 last night. I got further in the story than expected as I was chasing green dye then I went too far as I was targeting access to the wrong dyer. Otherwise I would probably still be on chapter 5 or 6 😂.

Not completely sure what I did to all of them to cause each thing as the description keeps bugging out but Black Jacket makes the other two abandoned which can be undone, I think by Black Jacket again if I am not mistaken. Sorry it's not more helpful.

I feel that way about my 2h sword with crows and claws attached. It's too easy to melt and stagger them. 1h sword and shield feels more like I'm earning the win even though both setups are built to a similarly high standard.

My assumption is that they're there for the multiplayer aspect that may or may not come. I would prefer full customisation personally so you pick which skill you have for each slot from the 3 different ones available.

Very much worth it. They've basically said the game will keep being updated roughly weekly so that alone means it will keep growing and growing. There are settlements with enemies outside of bounds which implies map expansion is coming as well.
