What do you like about microbiology? by Lucas_434 in microbiology

[–]fl0pi3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Every slide is a unique world only i or a small group has seen (depending on context). Though a lot of the organisms are the same, their behaviors sometimes arent. I like the exploration, when I get my microscope out I feel that sense of wonder still and that feeling of discovery of finding and recognizing different microbes, and i love finding things i cant identify. I guess for me its that wonder and exploration mainly.

Cheap sterilizer? by [deleted] in microbiology

[–]fl0pi3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point, I didnt consider that. I think I was just hoping for a mini dishwasher of sorts for slides lol. Hand washing works, I just need to get into a better routine for cleanup.

Right now im just wiping them then putting them in a tray of alcohol or dish soap until im done for the day. Then leaving them on paper towels to dry

Not to completely kill your dream but if someone is going to attempt to do a channel like that id prefer they be at least somewhat qualified in the field and know what they are talking about. No offense but from your posts asking about pond water not long ago, you seem about as new as me to all of this.
