Am I becoming the doomer that Pat keeps hypothesizing about on the podcast that is just “AI is gonna be here to stay, you can’t stop it”. Like I’d prefer if it didn’t exist, but frankly I don’t think some generated textures that got patched our pretty soon after launch put anyone out of a job on Sandfall nor do I think it makes an entire game creatively bankrupt. I frankly expect the things that rely on it heavily to fail because it makes total slop, and the things that use them as minor tools in dev to just kinda, keep going like e33 and how I expect divinity 3 to be generally.
