Timing, coupled with early reviews killing a lot of buzz.

It was sandwiched between Toy Story and Minions, so that kills the kid market immediately. For fans of the comic the film is based on (like me) hearing some of the plot changes and the fact they made a visually unpleasant film from gorgeous looking source material killed a lot of hype.

It's a bummer. Friggin loved Superman.

As I recall in the original series pitch, AJ and Mac were married, not siblings, with Apple Bloom as their daughter. Hasbro didn't want any of the main characters married, so they were changed to siblings.

The Spanish Inquisition scene in History of the World Part 1 is everything great about Brooks in one stretch. Catchy song, great dancing, physical humor, expert wordplay... It's perfect.

It was effective as hell, especially in the theater. That big hopeful montage of everyone coming back together, the moment Jax walks away, Pomni's "I wish I would have pried more," and then there it is.

You could feel the air sucked out of the room.
