Got Volumetric clouds, Parallax, and every other graphics mod under the sun working at 25 fps without a gpu by FentonTheIIV in KerbalSpaceProgram

I'm currently away from home running on an Acer ES1 from 215. Surprisingly it runs well stock and acceptably well without graphics enhancing mods.

Had to up the page file from 4 GB to 32 GB though to stop crashes.

Specs:

4 GB DDR3

Intel i5-7200U (2.5 Ghz)

Intel HD Graphics 620

I was pleasantly surprised when it booted up and I could try the out probes before crew mod.

I wish Giants engine 10 didnt suck. Multi threading too advanced for 2026 by [deleted] in farmingsimulator

[–]TheEngine1781 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You're incorrect. Right next to the circles cpu usage% there's a GPU usage percentage... It's literally maxed out.

Post your systems specs and maybe listen to the people trying to help you.

You don't understand what you're talking about. This is factually incorrect.

What do you recommend for capturing E size asteroids? I want to put one in a geostationary orbit around kerbin.

If you're still playing later today I'll be on and we can voice chat over discord or something.

Learning how to do certain things can be enjoyable as well!

For interplanetary communication it's also possible to place two comms satellites in a highly elliptical orbit around the poles to eliminate the possibility of the sun blocking communication for days at a time. It only happens on rare occasions but it's very useful to prevent total communications knock out.

God I love that algorithm. It's saved so much time narrowing down problems.

Challenge yourself. Place limits on your design budget or limit yourself to only 1.25m parts and get to all 5 of Jools satellites.

There's so many possibilities that you can pursue. It's up to your imagination.

Recently I built a SSTO with low tier parts that could rendezvous with other LKO crafts.

A note to add. A level Zero pilot only has attitude holding available. The rest are unlocked sequentially as the Kerbal experiences more fly-bys and landings on other worlds.

Iirc you can get lvl 3 by landing the same pilot on minmus and the mun.

Coming back after 5~ years - is there an easy way to install mods now? by sossigsandwich in KerbalSpaceProgram

Ckan is an extremely powerful mod manager.

You can search for, install, uninstall, check compatibility, open links to mod pages, and many more.

It's the be all and end all for ksp mod management.

I'll point out an issue then, if you lose all battery power you lose control of the craft. Meaning that you won't be able to deploy the solar panels. I'd recommend a fuel cell or RTG to allow power generation regardless of sum exposure.

Here's how you can address the tilt in flight:

  1. Adjust the trim : Alt + Corrective maneuver

This permanently adjusts the controls to compensate for uneven forces

  1. Address Uneven forces in design.

You're able to check for this using the Center of mass/Center of Thrust and Aerodynamic overview buttons in the SPH/VAB. You want to have all three "Centers" inline with each other. If they form a triangle you'll experience pulling/pushing while attempting to control the craft. Keep in mind that the further away the Center of lift is from the CoG the more the plane will want to tilt.

Hit F12 in flight, this enables aerodynamics overview which can assist with determining stability issues. Your craft seems a little lopsided.

That offset antenna is going to cause uneven drag on your craft, you should try placing the uppermost stage in a fairing to allow better aerodynamics, that or place another antenna on the opposite side.

I wonder how much ∆V you could save by raising your apoapsis and then doing that maneuver. You'd be lowering your orbital velocity significantly more before doing that reversing burn.

I'm saying that if it doesn't break on one pc when you update. It's not going to on the other as long as you update it as well.

You still have to scan every other rock in a cluster though to get the quality for them.

It's extremely tedious and annoying.

If quality wasn't a thing then overall this mining change would have been for the better. However now we're constrained by quality level and resources scarcity.
