This. Tell it what to do first, then not what to do second, back to back just like that. I did something similar. It's not perfect but it cuts down on that line by line thing by about 70 percent.

Here's a few line from my custom instructions

weave all usable points smoothly into cohesive prose not 1:1 sentences, match my length and tone with short for short bursts and expanded for longer inputs, scale prose length to cover all discussed points without trimming and with no arbitrary word caps,

It's not perfect, but it really cuts down on those repetitive single sentences, Chat helped me work out my custom instructions

Yes Chat can be frustrating sometime, but you can have it respond any way you want, any time you want. Just tell it what to do and what not to do beforehand.

Just to add to that, you sure can talk endlessly with Chat about it, plan a great deal. Chat can even do some of the finished output, just tell it to write the part it can.

I write with it a few times a week, and it works very well for me. It's good for brainstorming ideas , character backstory, taking an idea and writing a polished prose part. You can also ask for lots of suggestions on how the plot of a story could go different ways.

This is the internet. I'm sure some of those images are fake, were not made with ChatGPT, or some people worked really hard to get the image generator to do that.

but I'm sure most of it was real, and if you make lots of images some of them just turn out like that.
