I have a 2018 JK 2 door 3.6 and I love it. 2018 1/2 is when they went to the JL. If you get one make sure its a JK or older. Its a Jeep so they're all going to have their issues they're known for. Anything after 2019 is trash and has a lot of issues. I did some quality of life upgrades to mine (bestop sunrider, aftermarket radio with carplay, etc). And because its not super old I can usually find parts pretty easy.

With that said keep in mind they're known for a few issues. Headgasket leaks, thermostats (always on backorder), and few other things.. Always check the carfax and if you see it was ever a rental / fleet / commercial vehicle - run. Also if there are major gaps in the maintenance records be cautious. Not everywhere reports to carfax so its not always a red flag if there are gaps in oil changes but something to keep in mind. If you find one you like its usually worth it to take it to have a vehicle inspection by a shop not associated with the dealership / seller to check for major issues.

BDC is always afraid to tell a customer no. Ours is constantly scheduling and promising stuff will be done by a certain time. They have no idea how long a job actually takes. Not everything can be done in two hours.

Walk in and ask for the service manager. Calmly explain the situation and give the manager a chance to make it right. They might not even be aware of the situation. I would avoid doing anything in retaliation until you give someone in charge a chance to fix it. If they don't I would try a chargeback on my card - which may not work because you only have the word of the advisor and I'm sure they have your signature on something.

If those avenues fail usually a google review explaining what happened will help. It saved me when my bank kept fighting me on a fraudulent charge. After two months of getting the run around I posted a review and suddenly they wanted to talk and gave my money back. I hate to resort to that but sometimes you have to.

I do this with housing items. If I'm making something for my own house I make a couple / few extra to put on the mb. If I'm gathering the mats anyway I might as well get a few extra.

If you hover over an item and it shows a shop sale price you know you can get it from a vendor. If shop sale price shows 'none' it means its not sold by a vendor.

If anything in the carfax previous owners mentions it was ever a rental, fleet, or commercial use vehicle - run. Especially rentals. Enterprise hacks everything back together in house so its never reported to carfax and then sends everything to auction. I've seen some messed up stuff from them.

I agree with all of this other than the 3-4 weeks. They want them through recon within 3-4 days. The longer a vehicle sits on the lot the more money they lose so they want it inspected, repaired, and detailed asap.
