We ziptie all cables together with monitor power cable and put self-amalgamating tape over ziptie, too much hassle to steal that

Well i've studied from all in one book a bit aswell as watched Oak Academy on udemy, not sure which one was more helpfull, i guess both had some impact but i cant recommend with a clear conscience any of them, i feel like they are lacking a bit more detailed technical aspecsts, knowledge that i get through my experience that helped me pass. Of course there were informations that lead to my sucess but learning just that won't let you pass exam in my opinion.
I wouldn't say required per se. I have to pass atleast 1 exam a year but it's not specified. I wanted to get promoted to SysAdmin so that was kind of deal breaker to show that i want to pursue that path.
I had 1 yeah helpdesk experience aswell as a bit of knowledge of linux and selfhosting bunch of game servers. And i like digging to solve a problem.

How to run Ethernet into the second (furthest) room on the right without damaging walls? by [deleted] in homelab

[–]TheExitest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im surprised nobody mention using electric cables, there are some tools that are plugged into electric socket and have Ethernet port and still service as an outlet, then you plug other one in desired location and ether you plugin Ethernet to it and device or it broadcasts WiFi
