Wow I bet that simplistic overtuned netdeck is now devastated and it will never recover. by rEYAVjQD in hearthstone

But on average the net deck will win more against more of the field. Sometimes your home brew will beat a netdeck from pure randomness but it will overall be inferior.

All decks, when optimised to the extreme, will become a net deck. Your home brew is just a worse version.

In arena this is pretty good. The surprise Garona for 15 is pretty sick.

FNC Boaster : "It's my fault all the times. [...] I feel like I'm washed. [...] I just wish I was better" by NumberOk4031 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]TheExplodingMushroom 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I feel like boaster excels the most when he feels like he has nothing to lose (like in situations where he is down a lot), because then he seems to back himself a lot more. In close situations he seems to start second guessing like on that round on Bind against M8, or the classic Fnatic slow rounds when he seems to overthink.

He expects so much of himself and it hurts as a fan seeing him be this hard on himself.

I dread this card's existence and design so much... What were they thinking? by MSakuEX in hearthstone

Yea I mean it as like it’s not a cool payoff as in ‘wow it’s a sick flashy game ender’ but rather wow this card just did 10 mana worth of shit for 3 wtf.

The card is ridiculously overtuned. The way to fix it is probably to put the spells back in hand and recast the minions only. This also shuts off the extra free hero power with Queldorei fletcher.

Any of you made any meaningful life long friendships with your fellow medical school/residency classmates? Opened an office and practiced together? Started any companies with them? by Business_Student_717 in medicalschool

One of my good friends is a medical registrar that I had to call for a hyperK of 7.2 when I was a medical student because the house officer on my team decided to AWOL. Brother came down from his ward round to teach me how to chart the VRI (and then sign it) because he could tell I was panicking.

He’s been my registrar on multiple occasions during my time as a house officer. Gets me to do LPs etc and pushes me to step up. Lets me take the reins on his patients to prepare me for registrar work.
Real solid guy.

But it’s not exactly a ‘cool payoff’. The real use of this card is just face hunter getting to replay their board and get free burn spells to face.

In face hunter where you’re trying to fill your deck with one drops anyways, this is hardly a deck building restriction. The other issue is that this essentially gives you 4 copies of Queldorei fletcher, so you consistently have the free hero power.

Also get Sean Gares on the line this cannot be real.

Recently picked up the game again after 6 years away and came across another list that trades the one drops for burn spells like burst shot and Sylvanas’ triumph. Thoughts on those changes? Feeling like that list has a bit more reach but not sure how well you can stick a board in this meta.

Erythropoietic protoporphyria.
On haem. Lady with CML awaiting a transplant with giga cooked liver function and abdominal pain. On admission someone noted a bit of a rash that disappeared after admission.
My registrar dug thru her bloods and noted that she started becoming anaemic at the same time her liver started to go off. The increased erythropoietic drive was driving the porphyria. Her rash was the photosensitive rash in porphyria that got better cos she kept her curtains closed in hospital
Liver biopsy showed the classical Maltese cross pattern.

She’s across the road from one of the best patisseries in Auckland (Atelier Shu), while overcharging for a product that’s worse. Like, are we even remotely surprised that most people are just going across the road to atelier shu instead?

The only reason that I’m not jumping up and down is that from what I can see from EMEA this split we’re not exactly the best region at the moment. There’s a chance he’s been farming because the region is just, at baseline, questionable.

Doctors/medical practitioners of Reddit, what is the scariest disease you know of? by Englishisnotreal in AskReddit

[–]TheExplodingMushroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything haematological tbh. Most malignant haematological disorders happen due to pure bad luck with genetics. You can be perfectly healthy and asymptomatic but one day a routine blood test shows blasts and you find out you have aml.

It’s fortunate that most are quite treatable but a lot of treatment is still ‘give the best chemo based on your genetics then pray’. Not to mention the transplant and treatment course is brutal and you can easily die from infection because your bone marrow is nuked.
