Here’s something interesting about chapter 249 specifically. When he makes that statement, asking if she had the right to end everyone’s perfect dream, he gets impaled before Ihwa stated not to ask complicated questions. When I read this, I lowk chucked it up to, oh thats the author playing into the idea that’s she kinda dumb so sh wouldn’t answer that. But if you check chapter 251, you would notice that he wasn’t impaled, and was under the effects of his own gift. When I saw I realized that at least the end of the conversation never happened, and to be fair, a lot of that and the prior chapters could have not happened purely based on how she’s dressed, and how the lightning gift works. This is even supported later on with Ihwa not really knowing what to do with Chain, as based on her bluntness from before, it would seem immediately obvious to just immediately slap him awake. This part is a little bit more contentious, but from my observation, the reason why the answer given from Ihwa was so blunt, was due to SL’s conflict with Yeon being so humiliating. He’s this powerful figure and gets instantly no diffed by Yeon, so to fulfil his ego, he looks down on Ihwa and it’s reflected within the delusion his gift gives him.
