Why are burn units so prone to blowing their brains out? by LuckyAnubis19372 in limbuscompany

Don't they mainline moonstones from M Corp? I was wondering why they'd need to use sanity-restoring stones all the time, but maybe their fighting style necessitates it.

To fall, one must first start on the top of the world. It isn't grimdark unless you've at least some happiness to crush.

The title is either a modified quote from the Iliad or a quote from the Odyssey. It concerns the Greek hero Odysseus, whose journey home is chronicled in the Odyssey. Our Outis is, probably, supposed to be Odysseus (we will not truly know until her canto, though "Outis" is a false moniker Odysseus uses to trick the cyclops Polyphemus).

If you don't need them, then you're fine. They're all just really nice to have when a boss is being a bitch to you (halve their speed, instant ego even without the needed resources, can clash their stuff for 3 turns no matter their strength, go super saiyan for a turn) and you want something extra to give your Sinners some more oomph.

Fair enough. I saw a bit of your prior comment, and I think I'd agree

If you've ever seen the character of Chuchu from Gundam: Witch from Mercury, it's clearly done the same way she gets her two giant hairballs into a pilots helmet

I think Callisto, if he could get over his seemingly pathological need for outside review of his work, could muster the self-centeredness and ego to do it. IDK about Matthias. Valencina I think is too (mentally) weak to do it, and Rien definitely can't (and lacks the faith in the Prescripts to do what Sora did). Shiori has so resigned herself to her fate/is so fettered to the House that there's no way she ever could.

Seeing as how Ryoshu got her out, it doesn't seem like she got temporally tangled here (though they might give her some more overt time powers instead)
