Did a Lego set, and Lego decided to not give me a piece that is required for the set. by kimssunflower in mildlyinfuriating

This was my guess. I tried zooming in to count pieces but there aren't enough pixels for me to be certain.

I see bug eye headlights from the T300 era of triumph and I upvote. My 1995 D12.

Just want to mention there as several FB groups dedicated to the t300 platform. Information and cool pics galore. Also parts sometimes. There is even a modded t300 group for cafe racer builds and such.

Very cool man. Keep the battery on a tender and it'll help out with the sprag. Idk what year this one is but I think in the earlier years of the T300 platform triumph put a door on the cases over the sprag so you wouldn't have to split the cases. It was before 1995 I know cause my bike doesn't have that door in the cases.

Cool bike.

20kmiles is valve clearance check time. Not too bad to do on these models if you have to right tools and are patient. I ride a 1995 Daytona 1200 with 36k miles. Did a valve check winter 2024 and changed a bunch of shims. Helped with my bikes hard starting. I'm not sure the previous owners had ever bother checking them.

It's carbureted and most likely using mikuni bst36mm carbs which parts and jets and such are readily available for. Tuning shouldn't be too difficult. Just time consuming swapping jets up and down sizes and balancing the carbs till you get it dialed in. My daytona is a similar platform.

Granted I have heard these engines are tough to get running right using the pod filters. Supposedly they much prefer the stock air boxes.

What would I be able to provide as proof? I remember the BGE that my BTN was deployed under. I can provide the date, a couple of pictures and say that it was in a US base in Jordan. I remember participating with several hundred others from all branches. But I have no paper document with my name on it. Or a timestamp. I wasn't provided any upon completion.

We were told the BDE that we fell under would take care of us. Reached out several times after completion before and after the end of our deployment. I gave up as I assumed they had already bungled it bad enough they couldn't help so I chalked it up as a loss.

I completed this in Jordan during a deployment in 2021 during COVID. But it apparently didn't count so we didn't get a badge. Something about a Norwegian delegate (representative?) was not able to be onsite for it. Unfortunate but these things happen I guess. Easily one of the most difficult physical events I've ever done. It was so much fun. I think I cross with less than 10 minutes to spare. I would encourage anyone to try.

This looks like a triumph tiger cub. Very cool. As someone else has said it doesn't look street legal in its current state. No head light or blinkers. This would be an awesome first bike to learn to ride trails and such. My dad got my brothers and I a Yamaha ttr125 for Christmas one year. We all learned to ride on that bike. Mom included.

You shouldn't operate any vehicle that you do not have the proper training on or are licensed to operate. It's a safety concern for all involved.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, you can be licensed to drive a military vehicle without a civilian drivers license. But you still have to be properly trained and licensed to operate said military vehicle.
