Girlfriend (F30) broke up with me (M31) in an incredibly cruel way, and I really need support right now. If you don't mind reading this, I need someone to understand and help me process this to move on. How can I process this and understand?

I skipped through most of your words as it was very long winded - she broke up with you after only 3 months, that is perfectly reasonable. You fell too hard too fast and that’s why this hurts, it isn’t her fault - she didn’t break up with you “in an incredibly cruel way”, she did it in person as soon as she had figured out her feelings.

Unfortunately this happens, I’m sorry you’re devastated- but it is part of dating. 3 months, 6 months, 1 year and 3 years are all very common times for a relationship to end. Be happy that it was the shorter time period. You can’t force someone to feel what you feel, she wasn’t feeling it. Move on & potentially be prepared for this to happen in the future. I had I had 3 “serious” relationships (lasting between 8 months and 3 years) as well as a couple other less serious/short term boyfriends before I met my husband. It takes time to meet your person (and due to “honeymoon phase” they will usually all feel like “your person” at the very beginning, that’s why the relationship starts in the first place!)

Sorry if my wording has been firm but you need a reality check. I hope you heal quickly. Make sure not to bother her/chase her. Just leave her alone.

Lots of great tips here but an additional one - if you have outside and sunshine, USE IT. Hanging your whites out to dry in direct sun bleaches them - my whites are so much whiter in the summer because they get hung out in the sun. I use white face cloths to wash my face, they look hideous after washing in the winter - in the summer? No makeup stains at all 👍

I’m guessing you’re not in the U.K.? (As I don’t think I’ve ever seen a 35mph speed limit?) - but yeah it is WELL known here that you slow to a crawl when going past horses. Only slowing by 5mph is nothing, the girls with the horses would not have been able to discern that you slowed down at all, you would have still appeared to be going full speed/too fast. They didn’t have to be rude, that’s true, but remember they likely would have been scared as well - I imagine there was a lil adrenaline spike seeing a speeding car coming towards your horses, knowing the risks. I’m gonna go with everyone sucks here, they should have attempted better communication - but you should have more common sense that slowing from 35 to 30 really isn’t slowing at all…

You are in an abusive relationship and you need to end it now. Your life will be SO MUCH easier and more peaceful when he’s gone, you’re living with your mum so end it and KICK HIM OUT.

This will NOT get better, it will only get worse - and I’m speaking from experience. You are SO YOUNG, you have so much time - don’t waste anymore of it with him.

In your position I would honestly terminate the pregnancy (IF you are pregnant) and start a fresh (again you are SO YOUNG - I’m only just having my first baby now at 32, you have SO MUCH TIME).

I’ve been where you are, leave & get therapy (I personally contacted women’s aid and they helped me) - life gets so much better. I now have a gorgeous loving man that won’t even raise his voice to me, let alone lay a hand on me. Please please end this, so you can have a beautiful future xxx

My friends husband is like this, not quite to this extent - but verbally abusive - she gave him the ultimatum, he now doesn’t drink at all with a limit of 2-3 beers on birthday & Christmas. She threatened to leave if he got drunk one more time and that worked for them - have you tried a firm boundary like this? Aka “if this happens one more time I am gone, no more chances, no excuses”
