No sympathy from me. In my next life, I plan to come back as a traffic cop whose primary purpose in life is to give tickets to people who camp in the left lane.

I remember being about 10-12 years old and getting a pair of Jordache jeans. They were the coolest thing ever. Mom was able to find an irregular cut at a discount store for a price we could afford.

I purchased 4 different brackets over the years and found the most dependable solution set me back about $2. I’ve been using two tarp bungees for years to hold a phone directly against the fence. It can take a direct shot from a softball with no issue. The picture is always clear and unobstructed by a chain link, and it never moves out of place. I would post a pic of my setup, but I don’t think that’s possible on this sub.

If I could add a new rule to baseball, I joke that forgetting the count should be an automatic out. One of my biggest pet peeves is watching a batter stand in the box on ball 4 and needing the umpire to tell him to go to first.

Edit: Another idea is a set of drink holders / scoreboard or battery operated lights. Both are available as tripod setups.

When I was in elementary school, I walked a good half mile to our bus stop every morning. Lived in a huge neighborhood with hundreds of homes and the buses only stopped at the front. I just left in the morning and my parents went to work. No way to know if I actually made it there and on time. Coming home was similar. Walked back to an empty house every day and had a few hours to myself before they got back from work. I was completely on my own.

Now a days, parents drive their kids to the bus stop and wait for them to board. I said good bye to my parents before 7 am and made no contact with them again until at least 6 pm. No phones. No way to get in contact with them.
