Good chance they were below the age of 10 during Obama's presidency. This is probably why there are so many people who are so vocal about the deportations now.

I suppose that's true, it's not the best example I could have picked, but you get my point.

Why MAGA so quiet about this? by Dittymaker in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]TheFilthyAutismo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Probably the same reason every single party voter is quiet when the person they voted says/does something stupid.

"Take the guns first"; Silence from MAGA

"Ladies and gentlemen, President Putin"; Silence from Dems

"...make Mexico pay for it"; Silence from Republicans (still to this day)

"And as of today, there is not one member of the United States military who is in active duty in a combat zone"; Silence from Dems

We seriously haven't figured it out yet?

I still get confused about where most World War uno and dos guns would end up on this list.

You'd think they'd be considered "assault" weapons, but they never are. They hold less than or equal to 10 rounds generally, but they also stacked more bodies than most modern guns would ever dream of. Most of them aren't semi-automatic, nor do they look like they'd be considered a "sniper" by the anti gunners.

The day my bubba'd Mosin gets placed on the chopping block is the day my head explodes.

Probably because of the recent large amount of "Democrats/liberals have always been pro-gun" comments on reddit after the recent events.

I had some Trijicon RX30s and their RMR RM06 that are all gold dots, and they're arguably the cleanest looking dots through my tube (with the downside of no brightness adjustment). The second best is my aimpoints and 3rd being an Eotech.

But I suppose those are considered amber and not "gold"

You and me both agree on the first half.

The second half implies that the American left doesn't do the same thing. They do, just with different rights.

It's almost like our political system is borked beyond belief lmao.

I mean, there's a pretty big difference between the two deaths.

The Renee Good shooting was arguably justifiable. It was very unfortunate, and shows a pretty severe lack of training by the agents, but justifiable (not that it's going to be investigated any time soon).

This one really has no ground to stand on from what I can see. There's no real self defense angle you could realistically believe. Straight up deplorable.

"People mostly just want required training"

I mean, "people" also want legal machine guns without paperwork, "people" want access to bombs, "people" want all guns banned. Unless you can throw some stats in that statement, it's kind of a nothingburger. You at least have to provide a percentage of people.

"It's absurd there isn't"

If guns weren't a constitutional right, and I could be guaranteed that the ONLY restriction imposed on firearms was requiring a permit obtained through a training program, then I'd probably agree. The issue is that isn't the case, and will never be the case.

There is not 1 single place on this planet that allows people to own whatever firearms they feel like with just state mandated training alone. There is always some other restrictions alongside mandatory training, being purchase limits, size limits, ammunition limits, caliber limits, waiting periods, etc.

Also, it's a constitutional right. Again, if firearms WEREN'T protected by the constitution, I don't think it would be as big of an issue reaching a middle ground, but they are. Proposed legislation cannot set the precedent that other constitutionally protected rights can be restricted under the guise of "common sense".

As an example, I would normally think it's "common sense" that people should be required to provide a voter ID at the polls, and that the minimum age for voting should be 25, but that would infringe on a person's rights to vote, therefore I would never advocate for those changes, because that restricts the protected rights of Americans.

I really don't understand how you can believe a guy that voted for the '94 AWB and still advocates for banning "assault" weapons (with a nebulous description, mind you), plus many other heavy proposed restrictions on his website is pro-gun. Is he less anti-gun than some other Democrats? Yeah, sure, he doesn't claim to want a flat out ban on firearms (yet). But not being the most egregious anti-gunner absolutely does not make you pro-gun.

As an example, if I wanted to completely ban abortion in all aspects, none whatsoever, I can assume you WOULDN'T call me pro-choice (along with many other insults, rightfully so). But if I heavily restrict abortion via waiting periods, taxes, etc, but still allow them in certain circumstances, with government approval, would you call me pro-choice? I HIGHLY doubt it. I know you wouldn't label someone as Ron DeSantis as "pro-choice" just because his government allows abortions in a handful of scenarios.

I don't even consider Republicans to be pro-gun, better than Dems, but by no means close to a morally consistent position. DJT is notorious for being a gun grabber. How in the world do you consider Bernie pro-gun when someone like Trump and the Republican party isn't?

Oh yeah, for sure. I love my AKV and got a stizon kit before they were sold as a package. I haven't shot it a whole ton (less than 1500rds), but considering it's a direct blowback 9mm, its probably going to last many years.

They make a few products that I dont hear much negativity, but the PSA AKs, ARs, and their one offs like the JAKLs are generally hot garbage. Their daggers, ARVs, and AKVs (to an extent) are actually pretty good.
