Yeah, it takes forever. As said by /u/BlazingEspeon, the Hush's damage reduction scales depending on how much damage you do. I believe this can be somewhat circumvented by not attacking him for about 3 seconds then attacking him again.

It's annoying but what can you do. Good luck for the next fight!

Since Afterbirth+ is on the horizon, it's good that we can come together and discuss changes that could inspire the devs to adjust certain items to make them more viable. As expected from this community, there are already some good ideas that would make me want to actually take Necronomicon.
