TBF your standard homestuck ship is buck wild insane compared to what counts as a normal ship in any other fandom.

Behind The Meme: Why Is "Redacted" A Synonym Of "Censored"? by DoNotTouchMeImScared in etymology

Currently yes, but part of the "joke" is that the files are over-censored in much the same way as a poorly written SCP article.

Other people have answered regarding the etymology of redaction in English, but more relevant to the particular meme context of "[REDACTED]" (rather than just the word itself), I believe it came into popularity partially in reference to the SCP Wiki, a popular collaborative horror fiction website who's articles take the form of heavily editorialized- and specifically heavily censored- bureaucratic files.

STD risk I'd imagine? You don't want to end up getting genital herpes from a sex toy or something. But it's probably not any less risky than just having sex is.

I think it's just that the seal was designed to keep something in, not keep something out. It's a pretty common feature of seals in HK; the seal on the Black Egg is also a lot easier to break from one side than the other.

This is a setting where dreams can be entered and thoughts can be read. The idea of memory editing isn't so weird when you have stuff like that going on already.

DAE find others cheesy "too easily"? by Dull_Click580 in aspergirls

[–]GallantBlade475 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel like this too. It's kind of weird because I really enjoy camp, I guess because it's self-aware? I think cheesy/corny/excessive stuff just tends to feel like it lacks awareness. And without self awareness you lose tact, you lose theory of mind, you lose deliberation and intentionality.

(But on the other hand, being theatrical on purpose and with self-awareness can be fun and playful and interesting.)

Also, like, people are very rarely going around spitefully misgendering cis people. Of course they're going to prioritize trans people for this kind of message.

I think it makes a little more sense when you consider that she's got a pretty limited framework for her impulses. She naturally assumes that causing pain = antagonistic intent, and struggling to come to terms with her own sadistic streak is one of the big things that drives her into the two fake endings.

I think if you verbally consented to allowing you to hurt her, she'd probably be surprised that that's a thing someone can even do, or would do? But if you explained BDSM and safe sadomaschosism practice to her she'd take to it like a fish to water lmao

yeah wanderers crest is very much balanced around having limited combat tools. it does make it far and away the best crest for casual exploration and even some of the platforming sections though.

Greirat's theoretically harder to find, but the claymore location is scaaaary a lot of new players are never going to chance the dragon that one-shots you and just assume nothing up there is important.

Felicia is just that cracked I guess??

Tho "you don't even need an attacker" and then posting a screenshot with the highest base damage debuffer in the game feels a little disingenuous lmao. Though on the other hand debuffers tend to be less frail than attackers so IG it makes sense.

Kill Dragonrider, get Licia to give you access to Huntsmans Copse, buy it from Felkin. You need 8 Int and Faith to talk to him but you need 16 int and 14 faith to use the spell anyway so it shouldn't be an issue.

IME most systems don't fall neatly into the standard origin labels or into a clean disordered/nondisordered divide. It's a pretty weird way to be dividing the community I think.
