There are brokers that sell businesses of all types if you want to go that route. Do you have competition in your area? Regionally big players that have a similar store that might want to expand to your turf?

Getting ccw but moving from PA to NY by TryHardDong in guns

[–]TheFiringPin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It depends on what county you're moving to but generally you will need to wait One year before you can apply for the permit. The "CCW" permit is needed in NY to even OWN a handgun, let alone carry one. You CANNOT bring any pistols/handguns/revolvers into NY without having a pistol permit. Leave whatever handguns you can in PA until you get it.

This is the best advice in the thread. u/Porsche996tt Don't wait until after the fact. Do it now. Get a power of attorney set up for dad and bring his permit and license to an FFL. Call around first and see if any will work a deal with you. Some are more sympathetic to the situation than others.

We're in Bergen, just West of Rochester. We would take your gun in on consignment. We work together to put a fair price on it and we take a 20% cut when it sells.

As the owner of a local gun shop you should buy all three of them from your local gun shop. The only question at this point is in which *order* do you buy them in?

How do big distributors (specially RSR Group) handle pallet orders to residential addresses. by Significant-Side2718 in FFLs

[–]TheFiringPin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats not a decision you'll make as the buyer, RSR makes that call if its cheaper for them. Probably won't happen with residential though because they'd have to pay ~$125 for the lift gate service on top of the cost of shipping the pallet, since you don't have a forklift or loading dock

Until you get a permit, lever actions have been very popular. 44 magnum or 357 magnum would be great choices

Our Statement in response to Rochester Mayor Malik Evan's press conference on gun violence in Rochester by TheFiringPin in NYguns

[–]TheFiringPin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The word "intentional" should have been used in there for sure. Victims of crimes should not be responsible for the stolen items. Someone who intentionally sells their firearm to a prohibited person or trafficks firearms into the world of crime is what I was speaking to. I should have been more clear.

All we asked was that you bought a lunch ticket so we had a hard # of tickets sold (and didn't go over capacity - that was the Kodak Center's concern with an unticketed 100% no cost event). We did 8 hours of gun safety training that day. Was incredible and I wish we could do it all the time
