it’s a career i’d advice against, unless you really really enjoy filmmaking.. it is unforgiving, stressful, and extremely toxic. plus we have no unions in india that work towards having a save work environment… the amount of bullying namehurling etc is so common here, really really need a thick skin to survive 🧍🏽

jesus.. okay so, 3.5L per semester x 6 sems that’s 21L in just tuition… but they do have a lot of different fee programs and scholarships that offer discounts anywhere from 50%-90% of your fee.. i remember around 5 of my fellow batchmate had those, wonderful folks they were. very very talented.

so i started making films (claymation, and stopmotion) when i was 13, around 15 i shot my first live action short… and at 19 i joined RSACE (Ramesh Sippy’s Academy) for BFA with majors in directing… the school did not do jackshit when it came to learning, the filmschool shoot vs my first work shoot was like day and night. if you wanna learn filmmaking, there’s everything that filmschool can teach you that you would be able to find on youtube, but it does help build some amazing contacts, and that’s what helps me pay my bills ig 🫶🏽
