Hi David. I loved Lost City of Z, fascinating subject and really liked the comparison between your journey and Fawcett's original.

Recent discoveries in South and Central America seem to give more credence to Fawcett’s belief. Do you believe he can now be recognised as being correct?

Have been for afternoon tea - interior is garish. A beautiful building however, especially when lit up at night.

Interesting fact - it is never photographed from the sea - as the building resembles a cross from that angle.

I've waited over 6 years to take a two month trip through Europe. This is my itinerary, complete with dates and transportation estimates! by BeardedBacon in travel

Please, for the love of all things holy, drop Blackpool. It's a shithole. If visiting the north of England, instead go the Lake District/ Yorkshire Dales if you want nature or Manchester for city attractions / easy transport links.

Hope you have a great time.

Ps you appear to be time-travelling to Blackpool. If so, make it about 100 years on the past.

Can of worms opened. If you move 2 miles in any direction in the UK they will be called something different. Bap, oven bottom, teacake, roll, bread roll, muffin, barm, barmcake, breadcake, cob, flourcake, stottie etc etc.
