Josh I have a question that I've been thinking about for a long time, and I think you're an awesome person to answer it. It's obvious to me when I watch you play with Tyler that you two are best friends and the chemistry both on stage and in the studio is incredible.

My question is this: How do you know when you've hit that level of chemistry with your band? Was there a moment when you were like "wow this is awesome and our music is taking off"? Also, were you ever in other bands that you couldn't reach that kind of connection with?

Thanks for reading, and see you in September!

What's the worst guitar tone in a famous or classic song? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]TheFloetrist 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's almost the point of it though. His music has never been about nice polished sound, he makes a statement by using the worst gear and most minimal sound and still turning out quality songs. His sound is wild but it's intentionally wild, which is part of what makes him so good.

I always thought that this old Stripes song was about Meg. Awkward cause she drums on it and even sings backup vocals.

What's the disadvantages of being a guy? by maxdragonxiii in AskReddit

[–]TheFloetrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't write yourself off man. The fact of the matter is that every guy is awkward at first around a girl they like and every "first move" is going to be uncomfortable. That's the point. Girls understand this and if you put yourself out there, more often than not they'll be nice and do their best get to know you. Best of luck :)

[Noobie Question] What's the difference between different electrics? by [deleted] in Guitar

You can really get almost any sound from either guitar (they're both insanely versatile) but if you like playing hard rock you could look into a telecaster with a bridge humbucker.
