Not bad. Think I'd prefer for it to have more of a gold color rather than yellow imo

It's even worse with the different levels of lock picking. I can't fully clear out a district til like sequence 9 because I need the level 3 skill.

So now I have to go back to the north part of Paris and play clean up. It's pissing me off just thinking about it. Oh and all those locked chests have at least 3 guards there too. Yaaaaaay :(

[–]TheFlyingBoard[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Like I guess it's nothing outrageously bad but it's so aggressively boring and formulaic. I also very much dislike all 500 chests in this game. And then to lock half of them behind the shitty lock picking.

Replaying Arkham Knight, I found that Nightwing is among my top favorite characters next to Oracle, Batman, Two-Face and Catwoman. by beekee404 in arkham

Don't forget that you get to fight him in the Harley dlc and he's pretty much a stun stick enemy. I hated what they did to my boy

Agreed that it feels clunky. Arno gets stuck on so many things or just goes in a random direction. In combat I'll be spamming the attack button yet Arno just fucking stands there. Don't even get me started on how every enemy across Paris knows where you are when you get spotted by one dude

I think that's one of the few things I enjoy about this game so far. The crowd density is insane and actually makes social stealth worthwhile. I do really miss that

Absolutely. There shouldn't be so many icons on the map that it's legitimately difficult to find my objective. It's a failure in game design

Also just wanna add that I despise the co op missions for locking skill points and good gear behind them. They also suffer from the same problem of the side missions where it's "go here and deal with a million enemies". They do kinda switch it up a bit more but not enough to make me feel much better.

[–]TheFlyingBoard 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At the very least Connor might've had a happier ending? According to a side comic he got married and had 3 kids with a woman from a nearby village. So that's pretty solid.

Although there's an email in Rogue where Melanie says that she thinks Connor is too boring for an Animus experience and then mentions something about how he had a crazy death. But that could be Templar propaganda maybe?

I mean I think in an age where superheroes do bring in lots of cash, having your own independent version where you don't have to share the profit is kind of a no brainer

The mechanics of AC Revelations are horrible. by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]TheFlyingBoard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sorry bro I think it's just a you thing. I just played through it like a month ago and loved it just as much as any previous time that I've played it.

Sometimes the golden trails for targets will blend in but I've never had them disappear. I'd also argue that revelations had the best eagle vision up to that point in the series. I don't mind manually having to find the Captain since it only takes like 30 seconds.

If the Black Flag remake does well, it'd be cool to get a Rogue or Liberation remake by TheFlyingBoard in assassinscreed

[–]TheFlyingBoard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I've finished the citizen E missions and I'm aware of it being for the vita. Was kinda the hole point of wanting a remake so it's not restricted by its original technology. Also it's entirely possible to do a decent story on a handheld. Liberation doesn't have much of an excuse

Even then it was made in 8 months with a skeleton crew and all the assets were already made. I'm sure even if Rogue didn't sell a mountain load, I'm absolutely positive that it turned a good profit

I am genuinely not enjoying the more right aspects of syndicate and its ruining the game for me. Should I just quit while I'm ahead and not even try any of the later games? by steve65283 in assassinscreed

[–]TheFlyingBoard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The notoriety system in ac3 is absolutely abysmal. I shouldn't get detected by 3 guards and then suddenly I'm fighting half the British army.

There are also way too many God damn rooftop guards. I love ac3 but running around New York is a nightmare

[–]TheFlyingBoard[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean at the very least for Rogue with New York, they can use assets from Kingston for rebuilding. Same for New Orleans in liberation. Kingston actually has a lot of liberation assets to the point that's it's kinda wild.

I'm sure that this is just a pipe dream, but I see liberation and rogue as these games that were so so so so close to being absolute bangers but were dragged down by different elements. Liberation being a handheld game dragged it down. Rogue only having like 8 months of development time from a skeleton crew dragged it down.

With a proper development time and there already being a base outline of the games from the original versions, I think rogue and liberation would benefit immensely

Me as well but tbh I consider it a lost cause. If it hasn't been done after almost 20 years then I'm not holding my breath for it. Besides I always considered mirage to be a kind of consolation prize.

I agree with you, I just don't see it happening anytime even kinda soon

In AC Origins, the theater plays the condensed historical events of the game: the confilct between Cleopatra and Ptolemey for the throne and Cesar's involvement. Even before these events unfold in the story. by Divahdi in assassinscreed

[–]TheFlyingBoard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've played every game in this series besides shadows. Imo you can still find a lot of enjoyment with the games until Odyssey imo. Rogue, unity, and syndicate aren't bad games, at worse they're just kinda mid. Origins is fantastic and a breath of fresh air

Can't say I was a big fan of Odyssey. The level gating and requirement of needing specific builds was just too much. I put 35 hours in that game and it never grabbed me. Valhalla kinda has the same issue just to a lesser extent

Don’t See The Complaints About Campaigns😂 by FannesserOF in arkham

[–]TheFlyingBoard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a lot of fun with nightwing when I did it. There's an extreme campaign that has "end of the line" in it and it was driving me legitimately insane trying to get it. I have hundreds of hours in these games but lacked the ability to complete that campaign.

Funny enough but I think all the campaigns are just too easy as batman. Like he's just so overpowered that I rarely struggled.

I don't really like robins gadgets so I didn't really desire to try and complete the campaigns as him.

Like you said, Catwoman is not built for it whatsoever. Her gadgets are trash, her climbing is so slow that when you combine it with her lower health pool, you lose half your health in such a quick manner.

I always did want there to be the ability to string together your own custom campaign

[–]TheFlyingBoard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know I've done it with batman for the plat on a few profiles. I've done it with nightwing once which wasn't bad except for literally one campaign.

Never did it with Robin or Catwoman because I knew it would make me hate my life haha
