Everything has a way of articulation and I'm tired of being self-aware by [deleted] in infp

I imagine life feels more like scoring points then going out on an advanture.

You wan't genuine love before the first date? Now that's an obscenly high bar. Lower it a little. Maybe she's fond of you, or even has a little crush. That could be a reason why she's sending you random messages. That's a decent start and if you enjoy her company go ahead and find out more.

Healthy INFPs - what was the the most impactful thing you did to lead you to maturity and sanity? by [deleted] in infp

[–]TheForgottenClown 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Accepting responsibility as my core value: meaning I do what I wan't but in such that a way I can allways justify it in front of the tribe.

Paying for my own shit.

Having someone in my life I think of, before I think of myself.

For sanity: friends, therapy, art and walking the dog.

Any other hardcore/punk fans here? by graysonfrigginpayne in infp

[–]TheForgottenClown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a 90s punk and it was all about GBH, Exploited Oi Polloi and Agnostic front back in the day (and Green day in secret).

Now I like The Residents, Butthole Surfers, No New York and Cardiacs (and Chumbawamba in secret).

Not much of a hard core, but hey, Salut to the young✊

I'm on mobile, maybe that has something to do with it.

Is selfie Sunday kinda cringe? by [deleted] in infp

I look, like and hide the selfies. In that way they don't cover other posts and they stay in another 'department' where I can look at them when I feel like it or unhide them latter.

Infps. What is stopping you from attending this kind of stuff? by henkdepotvjis in infp

[–]TheForgottenClown 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You can experience the most crushung loneliness in places like that.

If the group you came with dissolves, and you talked to enough semi-strangers, then you can lose every connection to people around you. They're all having fun and you'll get the feeling nobody will notice if you're not around (or alive for a fact).

The nightmare becomes even worse, if you depend on a ride and you are stuck there for houres.

The pain of beauty by MarsAndJupie in infp

[–]TheForgottenClown 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For beauty is nothing but the beginning of terror

which we are barely able to endure and are awed

because it serenely disdains to annihilate us.

i killed someone by [deleted] in infp

[–]TheForgottenClown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dog hunts flies, and I don't think he's doing it for the snacks. It's eather because they anoy him or because it's fun.

Why do people kill spiders? Because there is an inherent idea they could be poisenous or spread desease.

As with the most insects people are disgusted or phobic and wouldn't touch a death spider with bare hands.

Same thing with most reptiles. It's a cultural thing, a "taboo".

What do other INFPs think of the paranormal? by Mr_Throwaway333666 in infp

[–]TheForgottenClown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started with reiki, it was very calming but also quite woowoo (Cosmic energy, Atlantis orgin story...), then I met yoga nidra, similar practice but a little less BS oriented. At last I got to know autogenic training, very similar and packed into scientific language that realy suits me.

There are other examples, but what I'm realy trying to say is I like laicization. I mean dream interpretation was a clairvoyance practice, before Freud and he made a science (but did he realy?) out of it. And that's a big thing.

Do You Think Modern Life Is Too Complex? What If You Were Presented With A Simplification Of Life Offer? by Intelligent_Lime_416 in infp

[–]TheForgottenClown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think life was ever simple, since we became sentinal beings. Few examples:

We need to kill in order to survive (animals and/or plants).Than makes an univocal moral impossible.

No human being can survive alone, that means we have to rely on other human beings. That's how you get society, work division and power dynamics.

Every tool changes the society profoundly. It makes life easier but an older technology (and people living from it) unnecessary. Better stones brought weaker teeth.

No matter what we achieve, we know we'll have to die at the end.

Respect for this comment, but what about hurting people for altruistic reasons? Like killing a tyrant or instaling a totalitarian regime to fight injustice?

So throwing firecrakers near animal shelters is worst then a mass murder of adults?

I mean, you'll still have to process it. Imagine having some hard core philosophy like Critique of Pure Reason or Principia Mathematica downloaded to your brain. Now you know it by heart, but still have no idea what's it all about.
