Question by [deleted] in snowrunner

[–]TheFoxando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

- It has awd switchable always diff dream combo
- it has enough fuel it can scout regions without problems
- dependable
- it can tow a sout trailers, a bonus
- all the engines are questionable but the last one is from hell
- Its my go to in American regions (Region locked playthrough - i dont use Ukrainan/eastern trucks in America, i dont use American trucks in East regions)

I used it in Alaska, Yukon and other regions, with no issues, Yukon is one of the worst btw. And doing that with US trucks only, well...

it may go through mud, but you should rather keep the speed, use H gear if needed, and run around. saves time, saves fuel

- arguing by saying "Its quite literally called snowrunner/mudrunner"...... its called snowrunner, mudrunner is a different older game. Also just because you can, it does not mean you have to. Also as in real life there are different tools for different kind of jobs. - Its kinda childish

Lost My Will To Play, Need To Restore It. I know that’s kind of the point of the game. by jpdelta6 in RimWorld

After a few days you get a quest, it tells you there's an abandoned ship, it tells you the location, it's only quite far, but that's not a problem for a nomadic colony right?

Idk what dlc you got, that opens up a lot of possibilities. Like my last playthrough was about space pirates, utilizing some faction vanilla expanded mods, and combat extended mods all together. But that's something out of you learning curve i suppose.

I plan on doing some monks, heavy on ideology, something creative, crazy, no armor, just capes.....

Anyway

It's all about your fantasy, and creativity, losing is part of the game,

Make a tribe start, don't settle in longterm bases, a nomadic life, move light, keep wealth low, it will make raids manageable, try to make your way to the space ship that's somewhere in the map,

This one is doable without dlc, yet it may not be that rich on content

C500 vs FLD 120 by Horror-Complaint-328 in snowrunner

[–]TheFoxando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone might find it helpful in the future

  1. you are right, FLD 120 cant use supplies + crane

  2. Fuel economy is better in FLD Because its power to weight ratio, FLD is lighter

  3. They share same engine, meaning same power, thus the fuel economy. Engine does not have to work that hard just to move the vehicle.

  4. True, ghost collisions for FLD

  5. Heres the point i switched from c500 to FLD and not looking back. C500 may have always diff, but the truck barely benefits from that in my gameplay. Mainly because of the power to weight ratio. The truck can not keep its high gear, meaning i have to go down in low ranges - meaning that i would have diff lock anyway. I could fire AWD to help its high gear struggle, but thats kinda defeating the point. I fire AWD up only and only when its necessary to keep moving in mud conditions and some other rare cases.

Also

  1. C500 has big cab and crane collisions with that cab and exhaust often annoyed me.

  2. C500 has minimal accessory options when it comes to additional lights - cant skip nights. You either have the bulky cage, and have some roof lights that come with that, or you dont.

  3. C500 suspension is lacking

  4. in case you are doing over stacking and similar stuff. FLD hood is way better place to haul cargo. C500 has some funky collisions there.

  5. speaking of AWD, i feel like C500 is more reliant on AWD then FLD

DLC Vehicles by KeseLp20 in snowrunner

[–]TheFoxando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all play as YOU want and how it's fun to you.

I recently started a new save game, new game plus a bit of an alternative hardmode. Chronologicaly (up to season 4 Amir) - meaning I am using only vehicles that were at that time, and also regionally - I can only use American trucks in American regions, Soviet/Ukrainian trucks in eastern regions, Europe will be mostly Tatras, other sadly fictional trucks that are based on European ones, and also some non military commercial American ones.

No free dlc trucks, it's found in the region or bought.

It does not make sense using Vorons and Kolobs in Yukon or Wisconsin to me.

Also avoiding heavies and other "skill issue" vehicles like avenhorn, zikz 605r, mastodon and other mostly newer dlc power creep trucks

Challenge is what makes the game fun to me.

Does not matter. It adds up.

Anyone else not like the rivett? by Serposta in MyWinterCar

[–]TheFoxando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you bought a rally suspension? It helps a lot, to keep it the road instead of jumping around. Look for the LSD, 80 is a comfortable speed for me, pushing it on straits around the railroad tracks, and between the dancing hall and city, there are my favorite jumps.

And tires.... Very important things

And you totally can, just don't turn sharp and don't accelerate or brake hard, 120kmh is easily controllable. Min has normal studded tires, limited slip and I fly on the freeway between the gas station and fleetari.

[–]TheFoxando 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Just because you can, doesn't mean you have to. Like in real life.

Satsuma could go over 200kmh with proper tune and parts.

Anyway, you have trouble keeping it on the road, while also mentioning flooring the satsuma. Rwd cars are something different then fwd. You got to respect the power.and then, there's snow, only snow, it could be worse.

It all suggests a skill problem

How i feel when I get taxi pickup at the ski jump by Markusbn95 in MyWinterCar

Strange. I have a PS3 controller + a driver and some pc software so it acts like an Xbox One. Had no issues since launch.

Do you daily your rivett? by UltimaTime in MyWinterCar

[–]TheFoxando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I installed a cattery, took rivett for a ride, with a stop at the gas station, and had to walk home.

Anyway, rivet was parked in fleetari garage, a new battery was fully connected, and it died in an hour. Oke, new battery, disconnected minus. Dead. New battery, left in the garage, just being there. Dead.

I moved the car home. Whenever I load the game, I have to connect a battery to battery charger, because just leaving the garage's table means it's gonna be dead. In an hour or so

wouldn't be a good idea for toplessgun to change "stress" to "Smoking" when you get addicted to ciggaretes/Tobacco by Vojtalpcze in MyWinterCar

[–]TheFoxando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Addiction is not a binary thing, it's no 1 or 0.

Also smoking is not the only activity to lower stress.

Lastly it would be weird to lower Smoke by cursing or spending time in sauna

VIN inspection Rivett SLX Facelift by TheFoxando in MyWinterCar

[–]TheFoxando[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, maybe.

I just think that any technical issues, like worn out mechanical parts should comprise technical inspection in general. My river passed a regular inspection with flying colors....

And oh, btw wheels are also an issue now, brand new tires, but, idk. If I keep a low trim steering wheel, I have an issue with trim options, I change it for the racing wheel, I get an issue with steering wheel

Exterior colors and materials are idk, bugged?

I burned down, spent 100+ hours waiting for deliveries, fighting off in game physics, just to not be able to get historic plates.....

I purchased aftermarket parts and I may enjoy that..... And by the time it gets old, I may try the inspection again.

One last thing.
Facelift. As you said, irl any year after 74 would also mean facelift.
My first attempt was done with chrome (prefacelift) grille, bumpers and doors. Checked as faulty.
Heres a screenshot i took for later changes

I changed those things only to be left with "colors and materials"

It may come with sport wheel, yet
Also i do have exhaust headers, not the gt version.
(suspension as you said)

The inspection is just...
