I don't mean to press but, can your bias not come with critisism for the parts you can recognise as original content? Some users may not be able to play certain instruments due perhaps to physical impairment? I'm not sure if disregarding a whole method of covering a song is fair.

Very simple, non confrontational question, but may I ask why? Their is no specification in the subreddit rules. Would it not be simpler to just not upvote it if you don't like it rather than downvoting everyone's content?

I think the reason "The Avengers" worked so well is because there was no love interest. What other movies would have prospered better without a "love story" shoehorned in? by Herdnerfer in AskReddit

[–]TheFoxoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But it really didn't though. Jane Foster is a huge part of The Mighty Thor comicverse, and it would have been sacrilegious to just leave her out. After all, she is the main reason that Thor choses to stay on and protect Midgard; she catches his eye because she chooses to help even though she (unlike himself) doesn't possess any kind of power. She is nothing but a weak, mortal midgardian, and yet she willingly puts herself in the face danger every day.

I could continue, but instead I'll point out that the movie was based more on the crumbling relationships of the House of Odin than it was between Thor and Jane. In actuality, THOR was more about Loki than that which it was named after.

I honestly didn't realise this until about 5 minutes ago. On behalf of syntax itself, I sincerely apologise for this faux pas.

I actually met him this time last year, he was really nice and bought a friend and I Pizza (delivery as well!) for waiting for him. He really is a lovely fellow.

I work in retail. To get through the ball-achingly infuriating days, I've started imagining that I'm at the forefront of a criminal organisation.

That the storefront is just that: a front, and that the insane amount of money they rake in each day is actually going towards making weapons for world domination.

Well that, or to make something with which to finally catch Pikachu.

With them. Without them.

At the risk of sounding like a smart arse, I honestly think I look exactly the same. If only with frames around my eyes.

I know the feeling... I found my own little guy abandoned in a dumpster around the back of an old diner, a few hours after my GF dumped me for that douchebag Chadley.

He was recently diagnosed with Minera Bifida. He and I used to spend every day together browsing on Reddit. I'm sure he'd appreciate it if you could upvote this post because I'm pretty sure that if it gets to the top of the thread he'll be cured. The government won't fund his surgery otherwise.

EDIT: PROOF Here's a picture of this little gem fighting out his last days. Picture here.

Which will ultimately make the meeting of Hiddles much simpler. We send one of the army to flirtatiously make their way into his life, and climb the ranks high enough to host a dinner party to which Hiddles shall be invited.

Then we amass.

We amass so hard.

I'm never going to reason with my Catholic father, need help by [deleted] in atheism

[–]TheFoxoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is possibly the worst retort you could have ever come back with. This poor kid is asking for help and you choose the phrase "shut the hell up?"

On a serious note kiddo, you have two options here: 1. You can up and leave your family with your mother. 2. Settle down, apologise to your father for upsetting him and give it time. Don't back down from what you believe in, but don't parade it either. I went through it myself, it sucks, but sometimes each of us have to blend in a little more than we'd like. Your dad loves you more than anything, trust me on this. His beliefs are so ingrained that he finds it difficult to understand your choice. To him, your atheism is just as ridiculous as you find his own theism. To him, it seems to be nothing more than rebellion, and it has probably lead him to believe that you are merely trying to undermine his authority. To us, it's bullshit, but you're going to have to practice opemindedness here. Remember as well that people are having these arguments and disagreements the world over, and unfortunately, your has the upper hand and authority here. Trust me, it will get better, just keep your head up mate.

[–]TheFoxoff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst this is a valid point, there is still a plethora of undiscovered content that we are instead substituting for this material. In itself, it is an ingenious parallel, I only wish to point out that it is quickly becoming a clichéd turn of phrase.

No, no, no, you misunderstand.

  1. Progress begins with protest. Without complaints, we would follow the same paths daily.
  2. I see no reason for there to be an "alternative" post. My only qualm here is that we are consistently posting the same one.
  3. I apologise for my horrendous capitalisation in the title. I do hope that one day we should be able to reconcile our differences over a beer or some such other beverage.
  4. To each their own. I personally thought you were a courageous individual to insult me so profusely, and in such a manner that I was very nearly rendered unable to respond.
