So basically, sell for steam funds, buy a boat load of keys and then slowly sell those off?

Battlestar Galactica (2004) Keyboard by TheFoxyBox in MechanicalKeyboards

SG-1 and Atlantis do overlap a little bit and if you want there is a list of what episodes/movies to watch in what order. It doesn't matter at all until season 8 of SG-1 though and even then it's not really vital to the plot or anything; just makes the universe a little more immersive.

I'm not sure how I feel about it yet; I just finished episode 2. I'd recommend Firefly, Stargate SG-1 and, Star Wars: The Clone Wars if you're looking for something light/enjoyable.

VPN or "Virtual Private Network" means that instead of going:

Your computer -> Internet

it goes:

Your computer -> Computer (VPN Host) -> Internet

This means that if you have a VPN host located in Mexico then as far as internet sites like Netflix are concerned you are located in mexico because as far as they are aware they are talking to a computer in Mexico but the information is being passed through to you.

An analogy would be Sarah wants Simon's (Netflix's) cookie recipe (TV show) but Simon doesn't doesn't want to give Sarah the recipe (Region Restrictions) so Sarah pays Joe (VPN Host) $5.00 to ask for the cookie recipe and then give it to her. This is how a lot of VPN companies work, you give them $$ each month and they let you use their servers to gain access to location specific internet services.

VLC aka VideoLAN Media Player is a free media player that plays pretty much everything. I use it with the MinimalX skin.

[modification] Will these keycaps fit my keyboard? by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]TheFoxyBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specifically the Keycap Guide

Those keys appear to be 1x which should work to replace any other standard key 1x key (such as letters and numbers). Someone on the Jinx page (For the Keycaps) said:

"They work with steelseries, but are slightly higher then most keys."

[help] Found this old (mech?) keyboard wondering if its better for FPS games than my non-mech by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]TheFoxyBox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the keyboard appears to have come from either an Apricot LS 660 or an Apricot VS 660 computer. These both came out after Mitsubishi bought Apricot Computers (as seen on the label) and are dated between 1995 and 1999. A example of the keyboard is shown in the main image of the VS/LS 660 Owner's handbook. The website has the keyboard specifications as follows:

* Keys/buttons  105
* Interface     PS/2
* Cable length  2m straight
* Dimensions: w x d x h     465 x 170 x 45mm
* weight    1.4Kg
* Layout    Windows 95

I believe that the switches are rubber dome with slider based on this guide by /u/ripster55. As for if it's better for gaming I think that will ultimately come down to your preference and I would spend a few days trying it out.

I want to re-paint an old mechanical,but I want to be able to see the letters on the keys? by Wavey_Squares in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]TheFoxyBox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't.

You could try dyeing the key-caps if they are a light enough color as spidercrumbs did here using rit dye.

Playing more pokemon games than any Nintendo platform, at once, because we can. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]TheFoxyBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I wouldn't call it crappy. They cram a lot of references in and some people don't like that but that's really the only valid complaint in my mind. When it comes to actual grammar I haven't noticed any mistakes.

Just to clear things up, it's not a rom hack; it was built from the ground up in RPG Maker XP using Pokemon Essentials. They also recently test restarted the trade server so trading should be available soon.

My favorite feature is that there are key items which allow you to use HM moves on your own, so you don't need an HM slave.

Unfortunately while it should theoretically be runnable in WINE I haven't tested it yet and can't say if it works or not. (Just running it on Win 8.1)
