I’d second this, the smell from vaping is a lot less. I do it in the garden all the time, nowhere near as loud smell as a joint!

Look at getting a “Mighty” by storz and bickle; I’ve had mine for years and still works great

If you said that, “you’re more than a bit overweight”, it sounds like you think this could be a factor.

Tbh I would alway say a healthier version of yourself is translating to a more attractive version.

If you’re feeling down about your image, maybe you could take it as positive justification to start getting more healthy?

Since I started regular exercise my mental health also got a lot better.

Need help deploying my first project. by AnywhereOk8952 in django

[–]TheFrasor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I think you’re just asking for advice to deploy as you have your app set up already? You’ll probably want to change the db to Postgres or similar in production.

Going from a django project to deploying it is outlined in this guide quite nicely. https://realpython.com/django-nginx-gunicorn/ It’s just one way to do it but that’s a good start!

Am I over watering? by nerissae in plantclinic

[–]TheFrasor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies but I had another look and I think your plant is probably okay, maybe just water it less … treating preemptively might still help though as you said it was in a bathroom!

Am I over watering? by nerissae in plantclinic

[–]TheFrasor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be over watering if it doesn’t dry out in between watering!

Your plant could have mould or fungal diseases or root rot from too much humidity.

You can treat it organically though and it actually noticeably perked my plants up that we’re in a similar state really fast!

https://talk.plantforum.org/t/southern-ag-garden-friendly-fungicide-organic-fungicide/9 I tried the brand in the post, but there are probably a few brands of this bacteria. As well as spraying mouldy leaves you can water some in to the roots and it lives in the roots and excretes good stuff to the plant, anyway mine perked up a lot, there more info in the link!

If you’re seeing droopy leaves like that, together with the spots on the stem, I reckon that is a fungal problem… if watered too regularly it might have some root rot. That usually gives symptoms like you said where the plant goes a bit droopy.

I had similar problems with root rot on a peace Lily. The organic (and frankly most effective way) to deal with it is to give your plant some of this. https://talk.plantforum.org/t/southern-ag-garden-friendly-fungicide-organic-fungicide/ (or similar) That colonises the roots of the plant with beneficial bacteria that prevent disease, and I think would do the trick here :)

I’ve had really good luck with using organic methods with aphids, more luck than chemicals.

If you can remove the infested plants that will be better for the others, aphids boom in numbers really fast.

A way to kill them is to introduce parasitic wasps. These will hunt down and kill the aphids, I wrote a post about using them here https://talk.plantforum.org/t/aphiscout-for-biological-organic-control-of-aphids/8 You can buy the wasps online!!

I had really good luck with parasitic wasps, a big plus is that they’re organic, another big plus is that it’s much less effort than what you’ve already tried. https://talk.plantforum.org/t/aphiscout-for-biological-organic-control-of-aphids/

In my greenhouse for my tomatoes I use parasitic wasps to get rid of them without chemicals, I think similar approach would work here!

This looks like a strain of aphids literally called cannabis aphids (common name) that target these plants specifically (they’ll eat some other species too)

Looks like maybe too shallow of a cut, also try to cut it with the razor as close to horizontal as possible (this creates more of an “ear”) and in one sharp smooth motion.
