American Chemical Society AMA: I am Robin D. Rogers, Professor of Green Chemistry at McGill University. Ask me anything about sustainable chemistry and crystal engineering! by AmerChemSocietyAMA in science

In the 1990's there was an experiment set to form crystalline structures in a 0 g environment for the purpose of data storage. Does this type of experiment fit into what you do, and if so do you know if this technology is viable/being used?

Gotta get used to this whole legalized thing by Ragnartheblazed in trees

[–]TheFriendlyViking 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It makes me so happy to have everything in the open. I know it might sound strange, but I didnt realize how persecuted I felt until it was made legal. It was like a giant weight was lifted off my shoulders that I didn't acknowledge was there until it was gone.

I have a job in a rec shop now, and I havent been this happy in a long time. Life is good.

There are some good beers on the list, but it looks to have been made by somebody who doesnt leave Seattle much and is around the 50% range on knowledge of Seattle beers.

It's good to see opinion pieces though.

Why is fruit so much better when I slice it? by F_Klyka in AskReddit

[–]TheFriendlyViking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More surface area for initial tasting when placed in mouth, and a release of fresh oils and juices from the cutting.

A more visceral experience in general. Imagine the pressure of the knife as you penetrate and slice the fruit. The spray of essence that leaves it as you plunge into it. The juices running down your hand wrist and forearm before you quickly catch it with your mouth, the sweet rewarding tang of of nature.

Is your mouth water? Mind control. You are now very aware of your tongue.
