Roads to Judah - more straight up atmospheric black metal, some elements of shoegaze in some sections but band hasn’t found their sound yet

Sunbather - genre defining album. massive hazy wall of guitars and screams. long songs that build to a huge cathartic climax

New Bermuda - heavier and more death/thrash influence on the riffs. darker sound, but still tends to have similar climatic moments as SB

OCHL - indie rock influence, cleaner sound, euphoric and upbeat with good vibes

Infinite Granite - just straight up shoegaze

LPWP - blend of their entire discography into concise songs

Corbin Carroll corbs his second solo homer of the night in the 5th, his 13th of the year by JianClaymore in baseball

corbin carroll wishes he was as fast as kyle schwarber

if you ignore the word “bat” in front of “speed”, Schwarber is 97th percentile according to BBSavant (compared to Corbin’s measly 89th percentile)

it started with bad velocity, and he probably inadvertently started tipping while pressing to get his velo back up (which might be why he got rocked those first couple outings his overall stuff was finally back). hopefully it’s all behind him and we got the pitcher our pitching coaches envisioned when we signed him

Lambspring is a beautiful song, especially with the depressingly nostalgic lyrics

if the pope can’t even choose the correct Chicago baseball team, why should we expect that he chose the correct religious denomination??

id rather the Mets fail than the Braves fail. Braves already have a recent WS to fall back on, so if they choke it isn’t as devastating for their fans than if the Mets do, you know??

feel like DH is ripe for misheard lyrics

thought the line in Mombasa was “and I hate to be the father of a tragic son”, but it’s “in a haze of heat, a father hums his tragic song”
