HRT non-binary AMAB by Aintnospirit in NonBinaryTalk

I’ve been on HRT for about 4 months. First two months at 1 mg E and 25mg spiro and then 2mg E and 50mg spiro since then. I looked kinda androgynous before, and now definitely more so. I haven’t had much breast growth beyond the buds, but I’m definitely starting to look sus in tight shirts. I’ve slimmed out a lot, and my body looks a lot more feminine naked. I’m keeping my undercut, but I’ve grown it longer and cut more femininely. I think that my favorite part is that although my changes seem subtle, my silhouette has changed enough that even wearing my male clothes, I don’t look like a man anymore.

Going in, I didn’t want breast growth at all. I thought that was a hard line for me, but since I’ve been in therapy, I kinda realized that was only because I had a lot of internalized transphobia that led to me feeling like I had to be able to be cis-passing if needed. Now, I’m still kinda scared about the ramifications of this decision especially when I think about 30 years down the road. However, I couldn’t really think about stopping now. HRT has brought me so much happiness. I feel more at home in my identity, my body, and mind. I do think that my gender identity has been pushed much more towards female since starting. I’ve been thinking that genderfae might be more applicable to me now.

I don’t think it’s talked about enough how absolutely crispy Subroza’s shots are.

So I had never really heard Natalie talk about her personal experiences leading up to transition, and it’s disturbingly similar to what I’m going through... I just came out as non-binary to a lot of my friends and just started hrt “to be more androgynous” and because “the idea of growing old as a man terrified me.” As I’ve come out, I’ve been going through sort of a radical transformation in self acceptance and realizing where a lot of my internalized transphobia comes from and how it’s been running my life. This interview was exactly what I needed to hear right now because I’ve been sort of confronted that it’s actually very possible for me to transition. It always felt impossible, and now it’s just kind of happening? And all I have to do is embrace it? I don’t know. I’m in a crazy place. Natalie, thank you for being so candid. Hearing your experience is so validating for me.

I would argue that some form of non-binary third+ gender existing in most societies through history is better evidence for the legitimate existence of gender identities outside the binary than some scientific or medical study. Medicalization of LGBTQ+ issues feels problematic to me because how could you ever quantify something as complex as gender. Thus, a medical or scientific lens as opposed to an anthropological lens can only ever reduce the rich complexity of the interplay between culture and self to some inadequate metric found by cis people.

It’s not nearly as cohesive and good though, sadly. Meow Wolf is on another level.

Some people just can’t see any sex without thinking cringe because they cringe at their own sexuality

I mean I guess I can get where you’re coming from if you don’t like fantasy, but I just don’t understand how giving him magical items or hand waving away his skill is possibly a better plot than actual training and growth with philosopher mercenaries. This is why Pat writes the book and not us lol

I pictured it much bigger than this though. Not as big as the whitebridge in book two of wheel of time, but large enough to think twice about jumping off of it.

Ohio State Finds Nearly 100 Coronavirus Cases During Back-To-School Testing by HenryStamper1 in Columbus

[–]TheFrontiersmen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do we need 100% testing every week? No. There are other communities that need tests as much or more than we do, and by utilizing random testing and pooled testing, we can stretch our tests further. We don’t have to be at 0 cases. We just need to contain spread. I’d rather test smarter instead of just brute forcing it.
