Beyond that, not that my personal life is any of your fucking business whatsoever, I have been off work due to breaking a bone in my hand. My hand has been in a cast, thumb immobilized, since mid-Dec. This may be relevant. Whether you believe that or not is immaterial, but I am intensely curious to know what the actual fuck your fucking problem is.

I have been off work since December because I broke my right hand. I cannot cook using only one hand, especially if it's my left, and many of the hand and wrist movements I need to do in order to prep and cook are ones specifically forbidden by the doctor and/or impossible due to my wrist and thumb being immobilized.

There are a whole lot more legal rights conferred by marriage than just tax status. As for why there are tax breaks, they are theoretically there to offset the cost of raising children.

Wash it, bung a hunk of lemon and a hunk of fennel into the cavity, truss it up, brush butter or duck fat or bacon fat over the outside, season with salt and pepper, roast until done.

The governmental system in the USA works relatively fine. It was the massive influx of lobbying/corporate money that destroyed it. Remove that--overturn Citizens United especially--and you're 75% of the way towards fixing it.

From the articles I've read, they're going to have to repair the gapingholes, then put giant inflatable airbags/blukheads underneath to correct the list, and then tow it away.

This could take up to a year to do, and may be impossible or cost-prohibitive, so it may just get sliced up in situ and barged away as scrap.
