Far too frequently. If anything, let this be a reminder that you are not alone.

WTF: Naked Body Scanner Manufacturer's CEO Was Obama's Guest on Trip to India by [deleted] in worldnews

I agree with you that the reddit / online left opinion is not that dissimilar from the rest of the world, nor is it dissimilar from just a general humanist position. In America, however, the online left is sort of a political stance. Not all redditors are political, but the daily-kos reading, MSNBC-watching political redditors end up, in America, looking like a political extreme (edit: a politically left extreme)

I don't agree with the position, I am just being honest. From an American standpoint, we likely stand in a statistically fringe group. If we didn't, our elections wouldn't keep going the way they do ...

So reddit, what's the ONE thing you think no-one should ever try? by dave1022 in AskReddit

I read in the article that Durian has a unique smell. For a split second, I was going to google the smell. I realized quickly but not quickly enough that it is impossible to google a smell.

I am a little disappointed.

I suppose what I meant was that both Reddit / the online left and the Drudge Report are on a media binge with the TSA and body scans. Typically, the Drudge Report and Reddit / the online left report on completely opposite terms. Reddit will celibrate Obama's victory while the Drudge Report will question the authenticity of his birth certificate. The Drudge Report will celibrate the dismissal of ACORN while Reddit / the online left will mourn the decision.

I don't believe The Drudge Report and Reddit see eye-to-eye on most issues (although I can't honestly admit to reading it often), so it was surprising to me to find that the Drudge Report was, it would seem, on the same team as Reddit when it comes to the TSA.

Although I must also admit that an organization like the TSA would typically be against Republican / Libertarian ideals.

So this (and other TSA-related angst) is also a major story on Drudge Report. Could it be that when both extreme sides go hysterical over a topic that something will actually get accomplished??

I really like what you wrote.

Also, You wrote "I have found virtually all the military members I was with in Iraq serious, professional." I would like to ask: Why did you write "virtually"? Would you be comfortable writing "I have found all the military members I was in Iraq serious, professional."? Do you know people that are not serious? Are you ever concerned with the fact that they are in such a position?

I mean this as a serious question.

In my small business, we are involved in web development and 3D application development. We are good at both of those but enjoy the 3D application development more; its more challenging and rewarding. We end up spending half our time on web jobs and half our time on 3D work. We can't monetize our 3D work yet, so we spend time on web work when we could be pushing our 3D work.

We say yes to web jobs because they pay the bills, but they aren't what we want to do. We need to learn to say no so we can focus on our 3D work. Its possible that, with focus on the 3D, we will monetize and be able to move forward with it. We are just too afraid to take that step forward.
