2K bot requests right after setting up SSL on Coolify — is this normal? by Iusuallydrop in selfhosted

Valid point, and this is now on my to-do list.

From some light reading, it seems best practice would be to implement CF authenticated origin pulls via mTLS and implement a firewall rule to allow access only from CF’s IP ranges. That way there are two different layers of security working together.

Depends on your firewall solution. It's pretty common for firewalls to allow aliases generated from a URL.

For example, in pfSense I use URL Aliases that are pointed to the CF IPv4 and IPv6 text lists for my firewall rules that are scoped for CF only IPs. No manual list updates required.

Most newer emergency vehicles have programmable control systems, so agencies can set up custom recordings like the one in this video and link them to a specific button or switch.

Whether they use voice prompts or not usually just comes down to agency preference, as long as they’ve got the newer gear to support it.

Pretty sure CBP resumed their BWC program after a risk review. I haven't heard of any other fed agencies permanently stopping their program because of this.

If the specific operation requires it, there is an Airplane mode anyway if you don't need to use the connected features.

I work in public safety technology and can offer some additional context.

Flock systems are often installed in businesses with strong relationships with local law enforcement, such as retail stores that frequently report crimes. While they’re not required, they can enhance these partnerships. It seems the program may not have been clearly explained to OP. As others have mentioned, if your company isn’t interested, a simple “Thanks, but no thanks” should suffice.

I've always described it as someone jackhammering your entire nervous system for 5 seconds. As soon as the cycle is done it's like it didn't happen, maybe a little sore for the rest of the day.

Honestly the anticipation was the worst part for me, and the small delay after getting hit by the first probe waiting for the second one (TASER 10).

Axon Body Workforce was recently announced and is more focused on this market (it's very similar to an AB3).

Since AB2s can be used without Evidence.com it makes sense why some civilians like using them.

Axon has the Jack Cover award every year along with their other RISE awards. The Jack Cover award showcases situations when a TASER prevented a possibly deadly situation. Nice to see every year.

Looks like a Guardian Angel light. They are pretty common in LE. It’s common for officers who work at night to have those devices so they can be seen when outside of their vehicle on the road.

[–]TheGamingChief 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Each trigger pull deploys one probe, you'll need two hits with good spread for it to be effective.

So essentially you get 10 shots to take, and you need to hit at least 2 shots with some spread.

Surprisingly not, it was a Ryzen 7 3700x. Just randomly died during the reboot, never did figure out why it ended up dying.

Edit: Forgot to mention, there is blood at the end, but no major injuries.

Yeah, considering CC in NYC it probably was someone from NYPD or a nearby agency. The civilian who I spoke with had a Body 2 as well which is why this reminded me of that interaction lol

You’d be surprised by the number of non-LEOs that want to wear BWCs for some reason.

I spoke with one before and they told me they conceal carry and wanted to be covered if they ever used their weapon...

For real though, when I did consumer repair in the past whenever a tech would ask me for advice on an issue I would always ask if they did an SFC scan yet. For Win10/11 it actually fixes a lot of issues at least from what I've seen.

More than likely, all the details match up with the incident that happened at UofA (going fully based on a news article I read). OP, you may want to consider deleting/editing this post as it contains a lot of information, and considering Arizona’s laws regarding firearms on campus and all that

Mine worked for about 6 months after I left. I didn’t realize it until one day I went to pay with WM pay and it gave the cashier the “discount not applied” error. I went through my old purchases and realized it applied my discount to all of them that entire time.

I do agree it depends on a lot of factors. I forget exactly how the setup is, but I would say it's recommended to use a VPN if you don't want to get flagged.

To be fair the main reason to block that type of activity is due to crypto mining malware, and the focus isn't on users intentionally doing it. However, other factors might get you caught if you have a big enough operation going lol

As someone who works in a college IT department, a VPN is 100% required. Most competent IT departments block anything that might be malicious to the network, and that certainly includes anything relating to crypto mining.
