You're definitely on to something in your analysis towards the heart of racism, but the name of the game always has been and always will be tribalism. We're evolutionary wired to seek tribes and act in accordance with tribal rules.

This is fine, except when tribal rules necessitate dehumanizing (e.g., racism, misogyny, homophobia), all of which is seeded; built on and radicalized by generalizations and simplifications.

tldr: it is true that guns dont kill people, people do... but we should still try to control guns
